  1. Don't do it imtb, you are just wasting your money. If you realy have made up your mind i would defenately go with the ergomo and NOT the powertap.Have ridden both and the ergomo is far more waterproof than the powertap. In fact on my road bike the powertap stops working if i ride in the mist let alone riding in the rain. The first little puddle you ride in on your mtb you might as well throw the powertap away, even if you got one for cheap it's still money that will be wasted.Rather take the money and upgrade your mtb.
  2. After months of negotiations i managed to double my fee from my team next year to 2 bags of oranges a month
  3. Sorry to say that in this country if you don't have medical aid you are absolutely stupid.I would put medical aid more important than having life insurance or a RA.A simple fall from your bike with broken leg etc can easily run up a medical bill of over 250K.
  4. Currently own a set of oro puro and avid ultimate brakes. The oro's are 52g lighter than the avids.Have owned marta sl's which is still the lightest but don't like them, they tend to go spoungy at times.Stick with brakes using hydraulic fluid and not miniral oil.I feel the oro's are much better than the avids(they are good enough for Greg minnaar)but they are a bit more expensive.

  9. He was riding a Pace fork.Pace was bought by DT a while back so all new Pace forks will have DT branding on them. They are available here and Specialized is the agent for Pace.Seen one at Willie if you are looking for one,or check out the Pace or DT website for more info.Same fork just different stickers.I have 2 of them for more than a year now.Weigh 1395g for 100mm fork is great and am very happy with the fork

    Titus

Just heard a rumour that Bowmans have lost the titus agency.Anyone know if this is true, who are the new agents and what about warranties?
  12. You asking guys to buy a set of wheels for 1 or 2 races a year, aint going to happen and those who do will look at the second hand market. It's just not worth it to spend a couple of grand on something you use once a yearThe market for 85mm deepsection wheels is small and those that are looking at that profile would rather go for full disc.
  13. What you call a storm in Taiwan we call a mild South Easter here in the Western Cape.85mm deep section will never work here. There are a lot of guys down here with 404's and how many do you see at the races when the wind blows.ZIPP At even the slightest side wind you spend all of your energy just trying to keep the bike on the road with any deep section.Sorry, won't work here in the Western Cape.
  14. If you are going to race and try for a top 50 position then get the hardtail. If time is not that important and enjoyment and just finishing is your main aim then get the FS.I prefer a FS bike that can handle 2 water bottles but that is just me.I HATE camelbacks especially if you are going to have it on for 6plus hrs. What prices have you been quoted for both bikes?
  15. Stans does not recomend MichelinWTBIntenseIRCHutchinsonMost of the other tires work but tubeless works the best.
  16. Scary to think that 1st and 2nd in elites are both VETS.Where are the young guns?
  17. Marco 1st in 30 - 34 - defended his title sucessfully - 101% was in the initial 4 man break but dropped back with about 2 laps to go aND Garret
  18. Meths also works well for cleaning.Ask your local bergie where he got his from.Avid metalic pads tend to bite a bit more and make more noise than other pads.Try their organic, although won't last too long in winter.I use organic in the front and metal at the back.Gives better control in switchbacks when the front brake is a little weaker than the back.
  19. He'll be riding the tarmac sl2.Oversize head tube and down tube.Something similar to the system six.Quoted as the lightest frame, fork and seatpost available.
  20. Kan enige iemand kom en hoeveel laps gaan julle ry?
