  1. I have the Uno's and honestly prefer my Cape Storm It all depends on what YOUR @ss likes That being said, I saw the Craft stuff a few days ago and it looks seriously top end. I doubt you would go wrong with either. My vote however is for the Capestorm Nitros (sorry to confuse you further but its really omfy)
  2. I found a deal of note on a set of Zipp 404 Firecrest Carbon Clinchers. It was waaaaaay more than I was budgeting to spend but deals like this are once in a lifetime. After doing about 500k's on them all I can say is WOW!!! They are absolutely fantastic. The biggest differences for me is the cornering ability and the lightweight when climbing. I used them at the Jailbreak which was my first TT experience on them and I was blown away at how much easier it is to maintain speed. I'm sure the BORA's are awesome as well. At then end of the day it comes own to how much $ you have and are willing to spend. Either way you wont be disappointed.

    IM70.3 SA

That's crazy. My 94.7 time last year was 3:03 and my 70.3 time was 3:08! Didn't do 94.7 this year so its going to be interesting!
  4. Keep it as is and then sell it to me for the 2013 Argus
  5. Dont stress. There will be many more. I did enjoy my wetsuit yesterday though
  6. As far as I am concerned the Morewood Zula is an icon of a bike and one that I will keep until I hand it down to my son one day. Its a fantastic machine capable of a lot more than I can throw at it. And to all the 26inch haters, I regularly pass 29ers on my Zula. Must be the bike!
  7. My link Maybe Ill wait till this time next year for my 29er
  8. Wow this is interesting, and something that I to feel very strongly about. There is no denying it, the human race has grown so exponentially quickly over the past few years that no matter how much food producers try, there is no way of keeping up with demand other than using modern methods of manufacture which unfortunately dont take human heatlh in consideration. Yes there are authorities who monitor the levels of chemicals in our food, but I dont trust them as people/corporations are easily corruptible. Let's look at the humble chicken. A few generations ago, lets say 3, chicken was a treat. My grandparents and their parents used to eat chicken at most once or twice a week because of its lack of availability and high price. Today, chicken is a staple in many households. So what has changed? Clearly demand went through the roof and the chicken famers had to mae a plan to keep up. So what did they do? Introducing battery farming. Chickens live in a coop which has a few hundred of them in the same place. They are fed food which not only contains hormones but also beef and chicken! How siff is that? There are strong lights which are turned on at least 4 times a day to simulate daylight and get the chickens to eat and thus grow quicker. The result is that the majority of the poultry we eat has had the furthest thing from a natural life and is generally slaughtered around 4 months old. Now I ask you with tears in my eyes, surely this is unhealthy not to mention HIGHLY UNETHICAL? Onto the subject of hormone induced milk, well I for one surely hope not. I love milk and have a bowl of all bran flakes and raisins with 2% milk everyday during the week. I can do what I can but at the end of the day there is an element of trust that we as humans have to place in manufacturers. Its not like a canned item which is loaded with preservatives an E this and E that, its milk FFS. Yes it may not be as GD intended, but there is only so much I am willing to do which includes only eating Elgin chicken! Have a great day peeps and remember its all about what you put in.
  9. I bought a new chain and have only really had experience with the SRAM chains and the oh so easy to use quick links. Can one use a SRAM 10 speed quick link with a shimano chain or is it better to use the connecting pin provided? I'v never installed a connecting before. Doesn't look too difficult but it does seem to have the potential to mess up a link.
  10. Thanks One last question Would a normal bearing work that hasn't been shaved off at 45 degrees?
  11. Thanks JB I will take that into consideration. What does the 41*30.15 stand for?
  12. Thanks to Shamus @ Bicicleta for sorting me out a new bearing. Will hopefully be arriving tomorrow in time for the weekend
  13. Being an ex JHB'er, I think the best hill which comes close to chappies is krugersdorp hill from the casino side. Also suikerbosrand is pretty decent as is the linksfield ridge for some intervals.
  14. Thanks! here is a link to the one I am looking for. Are yours the same dimensions? My link
  15. Good morning everyone I put the MTB on the work stand last night to give it a look over as I haven't used it in a while due to the DC. Anyways, I noticed that the headset felt very grindy when I turned the handlebar, so I proceeded to remove the handlebar and fork and gave everything a good clean. It turns out that the bearing which fits onto the fork is toast. When you turn it, it feels pretty rough and definitely needs to be replaced. Obviously I don't want to replace the entire headset as its just the one bearing which is gone. My question is where can I buy bearings. Its a rithcey bearing which says 41*30.15;45deg*45deg. Any ideas where I can replace this in cape town? Thanks for the help!
  16. GU is siff GU chews are better in terms of taste but do nothing for me in terms of sustained energy I find that 32gi works the best with proper food like baby potatoes or peanut butter and jam zaams

    Zipp Handlebar

    That looks awesome!
  18. I use ultegra and I love it. Smooth as silk and the feedback from the STI's is great. I prefer the feel of SRAM on my mtb when you want more direct shifts. On the road I prefer the smoother more effortless feel. Personal choice. You wont go wrong with either.
  19. Kulula are useless bottom line. I use them because flying is a commodity and I get the best prices with them ONLY because of Discovery. They are ALWAYS ALWAYS late and the planes are old and siff. I will always use SAA when travelling with a bike. Also SAA is never late and always on time. Really not a kulula fan.
  20. What he said +1000 Staff make your business and bring home the cash. Keep them happy at all costs and dont rub it in their faces with a porsche and a boat and then no bonus in the same year. That wouldn't be cool and would be pretty stupid IMHO
  21. To be honest I am happy that I have a job. So many of my friends who are highly educated professionals have been struggling to find work since coming onto the job market. Its tough out there peeps and the world is in a very very funny place now and I think it will continue to be there for some time. Be grateful that you have a job and you are earning a salary. A bonus is just that, a bonus. You shouldn't need it to make ends meet else you are living beyond your means. As for the directors bit. Well they do own the business and therefore are entitled to do what they want with the money. Yes its not so lekker when a director buys a porsche and then doesn't give everyone a bonus, but if you not legally entitled to it in your contract then the director doesn't have to give you bugger all. Personally I think that's a terrible business decision as all it would do is lower staff morale, but that's the directors call.
  22. I did my RS800CX PTE at my desk with a R5 coin. Was easy and took about 3 mins. Just be methodica and careful.
  23. Littering has always amazed me. Have some respect for yourself and others, put the wrapper in your pocket!
