  1. Howsit, I'm flying Mango from DBN to CPT tomorrow then SAA from CPT to JHB, followed by Emirates from JHB to Dubai, then Fly Dubai to Tajikistan in a few weeks.

Will be taking my 2 Tandems. Will report back on any horror stories.

Already had to ditch my 2 folding kayaks because the JHB-Dubai leg would have cost me 2000usd.

Also had to ditch everything but the essentials to get my two tandems under 23kg, no tools, locks, had to ditch my brand new "extrawheel trailer"  :( and many more nice to haves.

Please do let us know. We are flying same airlines then to Kyrgyzstan after Dubai.

  2. These are the times he will be targeting over the next +/- 44 hours.

Into Allandale around 13h15 today, then cruising through Centocow mission by 16h30, a quick snack at Ntsikeni near to 21h30, shout hello to Sheila and Charles then off to Masakala for some breakfast, Malek at midday on Friday, some Vuvu chicken and maybe a zamalek before 9pm, and then Rhodes before 07h47 on Saturday to break the record?

Sometime tonight, he will probably pass Batch1, John, Nico2 and Wade as they make their way to GE or maybe Masakala tonight?

I think his goal is to get to Rhodes before 6am on Sat. Lehana in the dark!!

What is the weather like your way?

  3. What Brakepad said is all correct. I am using one at the moment and it is difficult to turn. If you connect a light or a power bank it will become even more difficult. When sitting in a fork, you can't feel the difference and it seems to spin freely, but holding it in your hand does make one worried.

  4.

the Protea's next international fixture is the opening game of the CWC against the hosts.

There's semis and finals of the Momentum 1DC, I don't think the proteas are allowed to play there, and maybe only Junior Dala could get in if injuries to Ngidi/Nortje persist.

    JPD has done enough

Amla is always going to be in the mix

Miller appears to be the backup plan for keeper, if QdK gets injured they will need to call someone up - am guessing that is still going to be Klaasen (although Verreyne has scored loads of runs).

The not so obvious one that got away, Heino Kuhn - on a kolpak contract now, but importantly topped the runs in the 2018 county limited overs tournament.

    Best guess for squad

    1) Quinton de Kock (wk)

    2) Hashim Amla

    3) Faf du Plessis ©

    4) Rassie van der Dussen

    5) David Miller (stand in keeper)

    6) JP Duminy

    7) Andile Phehulkwayo

    8) Dale Steyn

    9) Kagiso Rabada

    10) Lungi Ngidi*

    11) Imran Tahir

    12) Reeza Hendricks

    13) Aiden Markram

    14) Dwayne Pretorius

    15) Tabraiz Shamsi

I agree with most of your starting 11. The worry for me is the length of the tail. While Rabada and Steyn can clearly bat, them coming in at 8 doesn't provide you with a consistent 20 off 10 balls type of player.

  5.

Chain Reaction is no longer a viable option after the move to Skynet. Still waiting for my shoes ordered last year December...Referred them to this thread and they just don't care. I've found Merlin much better.

Wow! There is some beaut stuff there

  6. Despite his recent performances there is no guarantee of him being in the test squad for the next series. Actually I think that he is unlikely to be selected once Ngidi is no longer injured, and I'm sure he realises that. Sitting on the bench won't pay the bills.

Good luck to him with his future.
