    I have a saddle bag and toptube bag on my roadie. Couldn't give a flying toss who doesn't like it. Tools and tube in the saddle bag, phone and snacks in the toptube bag.

    Absolutely. People very easily underestimate it as just another stage race, but the heat, dust, wind and loneliness catches a lot of people out. I've heard of so many people giving up less than 70km away from the finish line. Rather over-train and finish comfortably than under-train and struggle midway through. Stage 3 will kill you if you're not prepared and then you've not even hit the plot road behind Swakop with tired legs some 200 odd km away

    I don't know if this has been discussed before, but why are international entries 1k? I am an SA citizen residing in Namibia, but I get charged the full grand. Add travel and accommodation to the entry fee and it's 1 x SA citizen that won't be able to take part

    Vivoactive 3 to replace my original Vivoactive. Mostly for the HRM, but also because shiny Wanted a Fenix 3, but got a great deal on the VA3 brand new sealed

    How's the training going guys? Hurt my coxis by moering off a ladder 3 weeks ago, been itching to get back on the bike. Last few kilos were rough, but I think I can get by with a few short rides weekdays without doing too much damage
