I did my first road race last week and had a VB start which ended up starting with VA Poor me I never stood a chance to stay with that group and they left me for dead I got a GL start for this week @ 7-27 will this be less hectic than last week and being new to this where is the best place I can read up on all the seedings and groups etc to get a better idea of how it all works. I just read the post now on rant and rave on the potholes was exactly what I was thinking and they even filled in the potholes at the same time

It is just so sad to read this. Anything that would prevent this from happening again would be worth it. Maybe and this is just a thought that it's possible to also drive around the cradle route with a couple tins of red and yellow road marking paint and highlight the dangerouse potholes to hopefully give riders a better warning in time to avoid an accident. ?

Where did that wind come from in the last 30 kms I was feeling ok at 90 but when I headed into that wind I suffered that last section was a interesting baptism into the dark art of road cycling. I have a new respect for Roadies you guys are strong and the pace is relentless I dont have the legs yet to stay in the groups so its a pretty tough ride alone. I enjoyed it although it was prob not the right distance to start with as suffered from about 90kms but alot of that was that bloody wind. But I am hooked looks like the Blur is gonna get a lot more rest time in my garage

I recently got the CR1 pro and I am so happy and impressed with the bike I am no expert on road bikes but it really is a great bike to ride. I would guess the Foil is pretty special

I battled to feel the diff between components in the 2 group sets except in the shifters it was the one area where there was a vast improvement between SLX and XT

Yes I got a similar one runs of the cig lighter and never had a problem seating tyres with it

I have entered Only had my road bike 2 weeks In hidsight prob not the ideal choice as first ever road ride but will def get some time in the saddle

Are they seating properly before you pushing the higher pressure. Sometimes the may not be seated in one place and at 3 bar as they jump to seat it can pop off. Try inflating to about 2 bar then chen check all the way round that they are evenly seated. You may find in one spot they are still pinched in if thats the right way to explain what i mean if so use you hands to try pull out and it should pop onto the bead. Then u can inflate higher. I like to let them sit for a hour or so at about 4 bar then i will deflate throw in some sealer and reinflate to normal pressure and ride.

He fixed my Xt wheel for free when he saw the price of the spokes as neither of us realised how expensive they were. I cant remember what I paid when he built my crest's but I had them built with Dt revo spokes which did cost a tiny bit more but I remember it wasn't much I am a tight arse and was very happy with what I paid. Then I smacked one of them on a rock and just popped by and he trued the wheel back perfect while I waited at no charge I sourced all my stuff from CRC and I didnt know what length spokes to order I gave Johan the details of the hubs and rims and he sent me the calculations of what spokes to order as well and they were spot on. I have never had a bad experience ever with him or ever felt overcharged.

+2 for JB Quality work and he will true the wheels for free for life should the need ever arise.

Yes Aaran was there through the whole set up I was really impressed with the service and the attention to detail they both explained all the reasons behind everything they changed and the reasons why. Its also nice with the audio visual and lazer that they can explain things to you while you view your pedal stroke and knee alignment etc on the screen it gives you a better understanding as to why these little tweaks can be so benificial
