  1. Has anyone gotten their refunds yet?

So shortsighted, unfortunately. At least now he knows he's human. The fact that coming off at 300kph at Mugello didn't already scare the **** out of him left me baffled.
  3. I should have taken pics, but you can cross either side of the trench. You have to walk a bit as it's narrow and unstable, but it's totally passable. It's not too far from Bapsfontein, and you can actually see it on the Google Maps: https://www.google.co.za/maps/@-25.9673443,28.3764832,376m/data=!3m1!1e3
  4. Wish I knew about it sooner! It will definitely become my go-to long route for the foreseeable future.
  5. The Delmas road was eerily quiet on my outing this morning. Turns out a massive trench across the entire road was the cause of my bliss!
  6. Did my return this afternoon, 4x more back in pocket than what the auto-assessment spat out.
  7. Now that I've finalised my logbook and collected all my other tax docs, the E-Filing site is just non-responsive. Faaaantastic!
  8. Yeah so mine only accounted my RA contributions, I still need to manually submit my logbook for my travel allowance, will make a huge difference to the refund. But I think for most people without any funny benefits it should be pretty close.

Pretty sure that all those other than Rins have been told "to retire" by someone on the internet at some point. Why should Rins retire, exactly?
  10. I think everyone is getting a free pair as it's a pretty generic code you need to plug into your cart.

Marquez, Rins and Crutchlow all passed their fitness tests and will be allowed to ride tomorrow. Not sure how I feel about this to be honest.
  12. Unfortunately not, just saw it on Facebook.

Fractured humerus (upper arm). That's 2020 done for him I think. There's 5 races in the first 6 weeks of this condensed 13-round season. Edit: He did however win the championship by 151 points last year, which is near as makes no difference exactly 6 races. But that would be a miracle.
  14. Well I guess that this answers my question...

It was damn well worth the wait! (no spoilers, but damn!)
  16. Thanks, that was my feeling as well unfortunately. Appreciate the feedback!
  17. Hey RR, any idea how things are at Klapperkop at the moment? I drove past there on the R21 and saw that the gates were open again, but also didn't notice the booms or security.

"Valentino Rossi says reports that he has already officially signed for Petronas Yamaha are 'not true. It's fake' - but confirms a 2021 MotoGP deal is now '99%' done." This whole thing is such a debacle. Italian news reported that the deal is done, and when the Petronas boss finished his Saturday morning bike ride, his phone had blown up about this and he was like, what, I don't know anything about this. So bizarre. Nevertheless, there were bikes on track yesterday, and the fast guys are still fast. Ducati seems to be in trouble, but we won't know anything until Sunday at 14h00. Once the green flag drops, the production of bovine manure stops. I am so damn excited it is unreal.
  19. She's still around, albeit clad in 32mm Gatorskins at the moment
  20. Into the wind!
  21. Thanks Cap and splat. We're 3 episodes deep and so damn hooked that we might as well be participating in the Donald Trump thread.
  22. Are there official top speeds for F1 at Mugello though? It's never held a race, and from what I could find only Ferrari test there. Mugello is such a beautiful flowing layout though, I can't even imagine the forces the drivers must go through in all the combination esses. And then up through Arrabiata 1 and 2. It's gonna be glorious!
  23. Rumour has it that Mugello will join this year's F1 calendar, and that Imola is pushing very hard to make it an Italian triple-header. I might actually tune in this year...
  24. Anyone know where I can get some machine turned poles in Pretoria/Gauteng? I'm looking for something dead straight of around 75mm DIA, 1.8m length. Thanks!
