  1. Used it this morning on IE. But the dates and times are buggered. Anyone have a contact for customs? I want to query the status of a parcel?
  2. I ordered 2 items for my wife on 04/10/2011, but still no package yet. I phoned the post office and got a tracking number a while ago but I can not seems to get hold of the people at customs. The number that the post office gave just keeps ringing. Does anyone have a contact number for me to find out what the delay might be at customs?
  3. Will the talk be on base-training only?
  4. What is your facebook name? I can not seem to find FRAIL I'll take a Raffle ticket. Is EFT fine? What reference should I use?
  5. Great race! Anyone know where we can get the photos?
  6. Sorry for the typing errors. Im using my phone
  7. So i took my fork in for the service. Paid the 750 but unfortunatley it was still buggerd. So I took it back an they did more stuff to it ( sorry i dont know the technical stuff). First service they replaced the rings or something like that and the second time they replaced seals or something. Still the fork did the same. Then i took it to another bike shop. More money and still not fixed. The problem is that that the fork seems fine at first and has a rebound, but after a couple of km it just sag's and goes to the bottom of the rebound. It only happens on flat terrain and not on the bumpy stuff. When i get of the bike it bounce the fork around it recovers the travel and gies to about 80mm but when it aplly constant pressure it goes to aboit 20mm. What can be wrong? Is it time for a new fork. Its done about 6000km.
  8. Its a lekker ride but include it in a different route. The area around it safe. I have only heard of one incident in the last year
  9. After following this topic yesterday, I decided to give the morning training a go. I usually training in the afternoons but with the imminent winter and it being dark at 6 already, training in the mornings might not be such a bad idea. So last night I got everything set up so that it everything is ready to go this morning. The alarm went off at 4:45. I thought screw this and reset the alarm to a more humane hour. I will be sticking to training in the afternoons.
  10. Nope, about 50km (to the N4)
  11. Thanks for the info GT Man. In what sequence is the event? MTB, run, canoe and then obstacle course?
  12. So who is doing the kinetic adventure race this sunday? I'm doing it for the first time and it looks like its going to be good fun.
  13. Hey Mark, I saw the Niner on your other post. Great looking bike! In my opinion the best looking bike around. Just one thing regarding the XX. If you say you battle on the hills with the Niner, wont it be better to go for a 3 X 10 rather than the 2 X 10? Wouldn't you find the extra gears handy in the accents? I heard that allot of riders that used 2 X 10 on a 26, prefer going for a 3 X 10 on a 29'r. Was just wondering? For when I one day get my Air 9!
  14. I mailed shop.titusti.com yesterday and go t a reply this morning. They do ship to SA at a cost of 475USD. That is alot but if you add it to the total it is 1697USD (R11352 @ 6,69 $/R). Adding import duties of 15% adds up to R13055. Still a great deal me thinks!
  15. I just saw on shop.titusti.com that they are selling the aluminium Rockstar frame for $1222 with a Rockshox Monarch RT3. http://shop.titusti.com/ProductDesc.aspx?code=10ARS&type=1&eq=&desc=Titus-Rockstar&key=it I dont know if they ship to SA or how much it will cost then, but I don’t think R8175 is too shabby (exchange rate of 6.69)
  16. I have a silverback (alloy sierra). I had the 2009 frame and due to my fault I cracked the frame. I took it to the shop with little hope as I know what most bike brands do in a case like mine (I extended the seat-post to far out). I explained to them what I did and they got on the phone with the silverback agent and explained to him what I said. Guess what? Two days later I had a 2010 frame! Unbelievable! That is service. I really like my silverback and would recommend the brand to anyone.
  17. Mankele is absolutely brilliant! I went there with 3 buddies in Dec 2010 and we had a blast. There are a couple of routes with varying distances. The map at reception is great. The camping is very good as well. There aren't allot of trees so when its hot, you will need something decent to provide shading. There is a leka swimming pool, but the best of all is the trails. Form bush tunnels to tech singletrack and lung bursting climbs. Just a heads up - when heading out to the longer trails, take it easy over the first 4.5km. The climb is brutal but from there is whoop whoop! You are going to have a jol!
  18. Is this the one presented by Kinetic gear? Im not going to enter this event but i would like to do the 'full moon' one. Have you done any of the 'full moon' or 'double moon'? race?
  19. . + 1. Just sad!
  20. Saw the show and I really enjoyed it. Respect to those cyclists
  21. What is the avg price you pay for a fork service? I got a quote for R750 for my Tora. Sounds a bit pricey?
  22. Hectic!! When we were kids we usually braked by putting your tekkie there where the V Brakes were in the back wheel, but I think this would have been a problem with the shoes now. Glad it ended not to bad
  23. I am keen on the next one. Will be 3 of us
  24. That great news! Thanks for the link
