Thanks for al the advice, back to the drawing board....the support vehicle is going to be challenging, my wife dont like heights at all ( going over Bergplaas). I did the "Langsbaviaans" in 2011 so i "know" that gravel road from Willowmore to Steytlerville. I know that area is very dry we went hunting there now for the last 5 years, Aberdeen and Steytlerville area, it is terrible to say the least. We have nice rain in Addo and Kirkwood so lets hope and pray they get some aswell....

Look at the Glock 43 for concealment, although limited magazine capacity, or Glock 26 which can use the bigger magazines for home defence....enjoy the shopping, we just went through this whole excercise, my wife and daughter got the 43 an me the 26....

Thanks for all the replies. I will investigate more, i think the daily distances needs to be shorter max 70km, especialy if we want to do it unsupported and carry our stuff on the bikes....

Hi all Hubbers, I just want to find out if anybody has done the following ride and get some tips. Plan is to do between 80km - 100km per day. Starting at Rocklands outside Uitenhage traveling on the Elands river gravel road towards Patensie , the next day to go into the Baviaans Kloof for about 100km stay over , next day to Willowmore and then maybe ending the trip in Steytlervile............. So please fire away with any tips etc etc. GPS files will also be first price !!

Just curious to know, i had a look at baggies at my LBS and the sales person said to me i am not going to like it because its hot and uncomfortable? How hot do they get or make you? The ones i had a look at all had nice thick liners in........... . What is the main reason for baggies?

Hi Capt can one buy SATRIX 40 on this platform?

I've enter for ride the Karoo and it is in September. If i look at the TB in August that got moved to Jan 2021 i cannot see the Karoo ride happening. It is a bit of a bummer because i need all the motivation i can get to keep on cycling..............
