  1. Pyga Mobu, 130mm travel in the front, XTR or XT build to skip the batteries.
  2. I didn't have the same problem but similar in that the frame was boost and trainer non boost. the trainer is an Elite Direto. My solution is a hack but it worked and because my frame is permanently on the trainer its not an inconvenience. I went to builders warehouse and bought some washers and spaced it out with those. maybe your bike shop has something that they could at least try to see if the problem goes away and then you can buy the proper kit. my guess is 2mm by the cassette and 4mm on the other side. hope you come right.
  3. Hi Been running the gold and black 12s KMC chain in my XT setup for a couple years and generally i am happy with it. I also run XO and XX on my other bike and i have noticed that the KMC chain does wear out quicker but i still get over 2500km on a chain. For the price difference to an xx or xo chain i find it worth it and there is always someone selling it on special. happy days
  4. I use an Elite Direto, my dad has a Suito. Great trainers........but the core is also great. Since Omnico took over the Elite agency spares are available again which is great. I have never used the myEtraining app pretty much only use Zwift so you definitely don't need it if you don't want it. If i had to choose.....i would pick the quietest one assuming service and spares etc are fine. look at DC rainmaker and GPlama on you tube and you will find loads of comparisons for these trainers. On cassettes i have been using an old worn out xt cassette for 5 years....you don't need anything special. just a point on using a dual sus bike. I started out using one on the trainer and after two or three years i had put some major use into the suspension, eventually bought an old hard tail and use that as a trainer bike. So if you going to train often (i use it four times a week) then you may want to think about this.
  5. Hi With a budget of 30K you can get a really nice second hand full suspension bike, i would start there. try and get it from a place where you can go see the bike and ride it and where they have serviced it and replaced any really used parts, lots of bike shops also have used bikes these days so thats also a great option for someone like you who needs a bit of advice. For sizing i would look at the bike fitting chart but go to place where you can sit on the bike and feel it out, you should be a L/XL. If you want to do technical stuff the get a bit more travel in the suspension, for most 120mm is perfect, if you want to do the really technical decending then get more but there are loads of you tube videos that can explain the difference between all the different travel options. As for brands, thats a tough one as everyone loves their bike brand. Seeing you will probably be sending your bike to someone to be serviced try stick with the larger brands and one where you know your local bike shop can service it and get spares. There is alot of content on youtube on how to pick a mountain bike so get watching. Good luck
  6. Hello First off that is a cool bike, if you just starting out then its likely that you are not going to push its boundaries in a while to come. Been going through a similar discussion in my head on what to do with my bike. To get a bike that is close to mine in weight and ability is a home loan discussion and given i am also not pushing my bike to its limit i'm not sure this is the best decision or one i can truly get value from. So for now I've settled on upgrading to solve specific things i would like to improve on the bike. 1) make it easier and faster in the corners. 2) make it accelerate better . So i guess the question for you is, what do you want to improve on the bike and can that be solved with an upgrade or does it need a new bike? or just go N+1

  10. Search Thingiverse - Thingiverse There are plenty of options and designs online. a lanyard is essential as my normal 3d printed garmin mount has broken while descending on some rocks and the lanyard kept it from falling off. i see there is a screw under the battery charging rubber that could be used to attach the lanyard. Are you looking for someone to print it?
  11. Hey Are you going to ride the bikes off the trainer or will they be dedicated to the trainer? The wheel on trainers are the cheapest but do your research. what i have heard is that they often require a dedicated tyres or it eats through your tyres, obviously this depends on how strong you are. I have a direct mount one and it just works, but i do have a dedicated bike on it and two saddles for my wife an I.
  12. Hi I've been using a petg 3d printed computer mount on my MTB but the problem is that they do break, this is fine as my garmin has that little safety elastic but the varia does not have that elastic so if the mount breaks its hitting deck and you will most likely lose it. if you can solve this problem please post
  13. I would love to know the volume difference between the two. there seems to be way more MTB brands than motor cycles and MTB companies have much lower volumes so my guess is that there is no scale so unit prices are high.
  14. Hi I bought some from Solomans cycles in woodmead. It wasn't the rockshox one but the maxima one which is the same thing.....or at least thats what the internet says. But prepare yourself, its not cheap. I also got the Sram butter there which you can use on your bushings. I've used normal fork oil in my mrp (lowers and damper), fox oil and fork oil in my fox forks and maxima in a SID.....they all work well. Good luck
  15. On our rides at least 90% great back, some mean it and others don't.....and that's normally when the race starts
