  1. Read about this last year, but it should be a proper target rather than the 750km. Ramses Bekkenk starts in the Adecco Group 24 hours race Cycling ZandvoortFive years after his debut Ramses Bekkenk will ride the 24 hours race Cycling Zandvoort again on 15th and 16th of June. In 2014 Bekkenk took victory in the solo catagory in his first 24 hours race with a distance of 850 kilometers on the famous car racetrack in the dunes.
  2. Hi, if you get one, just check the plugs as well. Mine had "foreign" plugs, but fortunately I had a Botswana adaptor.
  3. And remember to hold your line, not sure what that means though...
  4. Entered and registered / had first ride on Zwift - this is going to be a lot tougher than I though, but someone has to finish last
  5. Especially if your scale is "shiny" and you don't wear underpants...must go and look for THAT IG picture...
  6. Wys my jou muis
  7. Eisch, that finish is going to hurt...
  8. So, we cannot use the kids anymore to contribute some points through park run, gym visits, etc. Me and the Mrs will definitely not reach diamond status on our own. It was a good run, but again disappointed with the sneaky changes put through and reduction in the rewards, especially as we do not do banking and insurance though discovery. My highest tile was a whopping 95. Anyway, won't bitch too much
  9. That should be fine unless the values on the gameboard reduce, which would not be a surprise at all, given their track record in reducing VAR.
  10. Hi, any advise on decent shoes for someone >100kg, mostly park- and Myrun on tar and some gravel / cattletrack? Looking to use shoe booster, so that might limit me to the 2 providers. I want to sort of know what I need to look for when going to the shop. Thanks
  11. From the e-mail: The Vitality Active Rewards Flight Booster benefit will soon come to an end. Boosts will apply as normal until 12 July 2019 for any flights booked. You can still save up to 35% on flights as a Vitality Health member.
  12. Looks like he turned around?
  13. Same here
  14. 15:00 start on the Friday. Ramses will probably be done before breakfast or even before people wake up.[emoji1787]
  15. +1 - closest I got was the 2nd last water point. Wife will also be happy not to wait till the late hours.
  16. From the website - from 1/2 way the same it seems: CHECKPOINT 1 – 2 From Louvain the road heads Westwards towards Ezeljacht and Herold with a spectacular ride through Paardepoort onto Heimersrivier for water point 3 at 128km. From Heimersrivier the undulation makes way for a tricky section at Die Wieg where everyone cross under the tar road towards Mount Hope. The road hugs the foothills of the Outeniqua Mountains as riders approach the water point at Mount Hope at 152km. The next stop marks the halfway point – already an achievement of note
  17. START – CHECKPOINT 1 The race start is in a Northerly direction towards Schoemanshoek, an abrupt right turn take riders onto the Vergelegen road past Buffeldrift and onto the first climb of the day. The descend is fast and furious and care should be taken on the sharp bends whilst traversing this undulated road towards the R62. Riders negotiate the beautiful tracks adjacent the Kammanassie dam towards Kleinshoogte for the first water point of the day at 58km. The open gravel roads lead riders to the South, past Volstruisvlakte and Daskop, eventually reaching Checkpoint 1 at Louvain Guest Farm on the Northern slopes of the Outeniqua Mountains.
  18. Bit confused here, isn't Rhodes some 462 km from PMB, and the summary only has MD ridden some 317km?
  19. You have to be 60 years or older to get Vitality points for the glaucoma test (this may be yet another sneaky change from last year?)
  20. Yoh, another super long day for the other half of batch 1.... not being familiar with the route, is it a tough day or did they just struggle?
  21. Long day for some of the riders in first batch
  22. Pointer is the most dominant, and the rest is just speculation. A great running dog she is indeed - has now done two short (2.5 km) Myruns and has plenty of energy left. She enjoys it and has to be in front.
