My 9 year old follows him. I have no issue with it at all.

I also like the fact that he shares his beliefs. Doesn’t mean we have to share those beliefs, but sticking our heads in the sand and not wanting to see something isn’t the answer either.

My opinion and I respect the diversity of other people’s opinion.

I also admit to being totally biased. We have been plant based for over two years now so I am probably not the best person to try be objective.

He also shares a lot of religious posts. I’m atheist and those don’t offend me at all.

One can only be offended if one chooses to be.[emoji6]

They have a big platform and if they chose to use it to raise awareness to whatever cause they feel strongly that is their right to do so..people can either unfollow or ignore if they don't want to see it.

I know this is not F1 related, but your profound comment made me think of this.

Instagram requires you to be a minimum of 13 years old. How did your 9 year old get an account?

What are our thoughts on Lewis and his increasing use of social media to drive his beliefs? Don’t get me wrong, I 100% agree with him on animal cruelty but my son is 13 and I am not happy he can go onto Instagram and see a cow getting hit on the head with a hammer and then being stabbed to death.....

If people didn’t pay for this to happen, he wouldn’t need to share it. If you see no problem with your lad eating a Big Mac, but don’t want him seeing how a cow is butchered for it, then there’s some serious disconnect going on.

Like I’ve said before. Align your actions with your beliefs. If seeing a defenceless animal being butchered upsets you, then stop supporting that practice.

That’s my 2c on this thread.

I’m against rape too. But I’m hoping that as we fight it’s awareness and prevention my kids don’t get subjected to live video of cellphone gang rape via an almost uncontrollable media platform.
