Well that was carnage at the first pit stop. I have never seen so many drivers get held up. Poor Lando must have been screaming his head off.

Very disappointed with the Pink Mercs.

Performance of the day were the Red Bull mechanics. Didn't think they would get Max's car repaired in time.

I have just watched the onboard footage of Bottas's start. I can see why he almost jumped the start. Apparently he also could not see all of the start lights because of the halo.Lights went off on his dashboard and he went. Brilliant reactions from him to stop the car again but the damage was done.

A good race. Enjoyed that.

Hamilton fan or not, you cannot deny his talent. In the damp, 10 laps in and had a 10 sec lead. That’s not just the car.

The man can race, for sure.

Being the only chocolate, now with Albon's caramel, gives greater context to his achievements.

Pretty cool race with overtaking happening which is a vast improvement on the old days in Hungary where it was just one long procession.

44 is a talented driver and in the best car...i am hoping Bottas offers some resistance in the coming races or else its number 7 and i would like to see him have to work a bit harder for it ...the great shumie worked much harder for his 7 i reckon.

As did Vettel for his 4, IIRC.

But yeah, much better racing in general at the moment, apart from the Mercs just dominating.

Norris with another last-lap overtake, and Le Clerc & Norris showing what real racing is with some brilliant driving.

IMO the le clerc incident last week should also have been attributed to Vettel. He was in the middle of the track, left a gap wiiiiiide open and then turned into the apex as if he had nobody else around him.

Yes, Le Clerc should have waited, but IMO the gap was there and by the time Vettel had turned in, Le Clerc was already there.

But then that's why it's a racing incident instead of a penalty.

And what is that context, just out of interest?

Because he was poor, uneducated, disadvantaged and oppressed (the chain around his neck) from a young age and struggled with great difficulty through the ranks to become what he is today? Oh, no, wait...

Working in Potch' a few seasons ago, on a training camp with a cricket team, driving back to my hotel reflecting on the day's results, someone at a traffic light shouted and disturbed my peace with *jou kaff*r*. I was stunned as I felt it was so 80s. Oh, no wait....

What gets me is that even growing up in the 70's and 80's where segregation was very real, we were never allowed to use that word.  In fact, we weren't even allowed to settle sibling disputes with "Eeny Meeny Miny Mo, because it had a bad word in the rhyme.  And those hard black round sweets were Liquorice Balls.  Nothing else.  I get very uncomfortable when I hear someone using the K-word.  Hell I can't even refer to the lucky bean tree in my garden by its nickname.  Anyway, back to F1 - does anyone honestly think Vettel would consider going to Aston Martin?

I think Vettel still sees his future in the sport so i think he would go wherever he gets an opportunity be it Aston Martin.

He just needs a kick in the bottom to wake up and get motivated. To be fair he seems to have woken up a bit...had a good race yesterday considering and last week was on a bit of a roll before being taken out ..
