Absolutely.

One must not confuse a dislike of his personality as somebody dismissing his talent. Talent which mostly sits in his skills signing and staying at Merc

Just imagine how he would complain if he had stayed at McLaren.

But you right, he may be a d00$ but he is one of the best drivers of the current grid and as a combo with merc he is the best(I don't think the best driver if they were all in the exact same car). I don't however think he is as good as some of the past generation drivers.

Same as Marquez, I can't stand him but he is pretty handy on a Honda.

Exactly, if Bottas can beat him in an equal car, then we know Vettel, Max, Leclerc, Norris, Kimi would beat him if they swopped cars. Edited by Patchelicious

How cool would that be, a relegation/promotion type scenario.

Would spice things up......

They did it with our local rugby. Bottom of the log from currie cup premier division went down to first division and visa versa. Made those bottom of the log games interesting as you often had bottom of the log give top of the log a good go because they wanted to jump a spot. I think it worked well and promoted better rugby. Could do the same for F1. But would they do it for individual drivers or the bottom team? Might get tricky if a Ferrari academy driver wins F2 but its a merc driver that is last in F1. Imagine Vettal getting replaced by Schumi.

I know this is far fetched. But a car/driver swop scenario would really make things interesting.

Teams are teams, and driver are free agents. Must do two races per team or a rotational basis.

I agree - something similar to the NFL Draft pick would work really well.
