Punk rock girls. GIRLS NOT BANDS! She was a punk through and through and it shows to this day.

“I ******* loathe the Grammys with a vengeance,” she said. “The whole idea of it, I don’t understand it, I don’t respect it, I don’t get it at all. I think it’s bull****.” Nor was she flattered to be inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. “I call it the Rock and Roll Hall of ****,” she says. “It’s everything that rock’n’roll isn’t. It sort of desecrates the name of rock’n’roll.”

so she has some attitude and some strong belifs. Her music is soft rock at the most, though. certainly not punk, unless we have different ideas of what punk is

You're missing the point and pushing an agenda that has no relevance to my post. The post has sweet f'all to do with the music. Punk rock is an expression of a greater culture/movement. Use Blondie as an example. Deborah Harry was a punk. There is no denying that but, Blondie' sound is a mix of disco, pop, reggae and rap.
