I have no idea but the guy did cross the road in front of the taxi. Would love to know more about what happened in the moments before the first bump.

The driver's actions stay inexcusable though!

 

EWN has a 'follow up' article, but no details on the cause of it all

 

Oops, posted this in a thread of its own. He appeared in court in Monday, but was let free after the prosecution couldn't "link the accused to the case". :eek:

Oops, posted this in a thread of its own. He appeared in court in Monday, but was let free after the prosecution couldn't "link the accused to the case". :eek:

 

Erm... Oh-kay! How incompetent are the prosecution, if that were the case? Surely this could have been used as evidence. Not to mention the eye-witness statements?

That's what i was thinking. According to the cops, the case was "provisionally withdrawn" so the case could be reopened.

Today & yesterday

 

Brings back good and bad memories. In the mid 80s a cyclone pushed 6m swells on Durban beaches. I managed to get out to backline on my waveski and then spent nearly two hours trying to get back to shore without killing myself.
