Hey guys and girls, just saying hi.

Been cycling for a number of years now. Road and off-road. Seems, the more i ride the more i enjoy it.

Not sure what else is necessary to be said.

Hi.

Just an intro. Happy mountainbiker from the smokey highveld area. Riding for a couple of years now, but nothing serious up to now.

A friend pushed me into being his partner on the Namaqua Quest so I came here to get some training and prepping advice.

Howzit!

Living in Ballito, busy packing house for the move back to JHB after 8 lekker years by the sea.

Have been sentenced to a life behind bars since years back - pedal and petrol power.

Been riding a mature 26" with lots of character :) but thanks to my mate Mackie I am excitedly building up my first 29er.

Looking forward to hitting the trails jozzie side soon.

Is it still cold up there?

aloha!

New guy here. After contemplating 'bout whether I should start Mountain Biking or not for the past few months, I finally took the plunge.

Got myself a Scott Scale 940 and been enjoying every bit of the bike and riding so far.

Hope to see some of you guys on the trails.

Cheers.

Hi Mike

Where are you moving too? Hopefully we can catch a ride. Will you be near the LugHawe?

Regards

Good Morning Good Morning,

I just joined the hub, and just re-joined (want to) the cycling community. I use to build bikes when I was younger and have a passion for riding, but it looks like quite a bit has changed over the last 8 years regarding the good old bicycle!

I am wondering if there are any suggestions on what size and style might suite me best bested on the following as it seems like sizing and terms have changed:

  • Height: 1.85m
  • Weight: 90kg
  • Skill: Intermediate

I thoroughly enjoy some jumps and single trail is always good, but would also like to do some mountain biking with peeps who just cycle through the forest, so don't want to get too downhill aggressive.

Thanks,

Zak

Hi, also new...probably been on about a month, and I'm already addicted to this place. Came here selling a bike and now the hub is basically where I waste my free time...all the time though. Its almost as addictive as cycling
