maybe it has to do with the fact you ride a bike with downtube shifters ? your wheels way too much to much and will affect the back up cars performance at hitting cylists while avoiding trees.

And they don't carry spare wheels with 5 speed freewheels.

Bwahahaha! That's it then. I've got a reputation as a cantankerous old bugger who eschews modern conveniences. I suppose you going to tell me that they don't have spares for Sachs-Huret deraileurs either. I don't know what the world is coming to. (And though I haven't weighed them, each of my wheels can't be more than 3 or 4 kg at the most.)

With all respect to road cycling and the riders, Road racing is f**ked up!!

This nonsense of when a rider gets a puncture he will get a new wheel in seconds and he will be helped to get back into the peloton. Now in downhill racing if you get a puncture its tough luck.

On supercycling tonight i saw one of the officials drive their car into a rider and knock him into the air and injure him quite surveerly and the car sped off without any concern to the rider they just hit.

I am NOT trying to offend any riders or anybody invovled with road cycling, i am making my statement towards the way the racing happens.

Uh, don't you generally have two runs in downhill races? And qualifying runs?

Soo....downhill racing you say.....

My perception of this is basically you only have to fat enough to moer down a mountain and be stupid enough at the same time not to be scared to break?

mmmmm......

But I don't want to offend or anything/one........

Nevermind modern cyclist's, how about modern cycling supporters, I bet in days gone by the argument and flaming was about the more hardcore rider, now it's now about dope, MTB vs Roadie and the effing 29er.

Oh ja and I's sure there were no grammer nazis back then either.

Grammar Mackie, gramm-a-r.

Mudguards, riding in woolen jerseys, aviation goggles, no helmets, no hands, hair on the legs the pic says is it all. Those thermos flasks probably weigh more that the latest carbon frame.

What about one front STEEL chainring.

Is that Histor Sigma kit? You know what I'd love, is a set of Buckler or Castorama kit

Check out Prendas Ciclismo bud. They do retro in modern fabrics. Nice System U ones at the moment.
