This has got to be from Hayibo? Please tell me it was satire?

Copied from News24. You can google. Think it was mentioned on a couple of sites. Still, not sure how accurately it was quoted.

Hail and hurt like a contact lens in the eye, but I hate lightning.  You can't see it and you can't hide from it.  Okay, you can pull into a service station and hide there.  What scares me is the fellow commuters that are not so sure on how to cycle in the wet...  And the cars as well.  Another issue is the white and yellow lines.  They are like snot when wet...

I don't commute but love my morning ride during the week, I just wanted to say this- I really worried about cars and taxis and muggers and weather UNTIL I actually just did it. Figured out a cool little 25km route and just rode my bike. So if you're reading some of the comments and they are slightly off putting, just do it once And you will realise that most of the niggles and worries are probably typed with a smile. Bicycling is love

Keep an eye on the shadows.  And note just after the red car passes me what takes place...  I so need a camera for the rear of the bike as well....

what happened, Francois?

Check the shadow. Guy did not check to see if he could pass me. He then got on the front brakes and bought some road.

Stopped and he gave me the finger, so I decided that with that attitude he did not need my help

Looks like the red car tried to turn into him and take him out.

Nope, car passed me and he decided to try and pass me. And the car started slowing down. Lesson... Do not grab a hand full of front brake...

yeah. Fellow commuter.

Glad I was awake and saw the traffic was slowing down. No need to try and pass another just before a red light [emoji3]

No it doesnt.

It looks like somebody behind him moered off.

Ahh, let me look again in 720p instead of 240p  ^_^

Edit: Ahh now i see it, the shadow on the red car of the guy going over his handle bars lol!

I was taken out by a commuter a few months ago - tried to pass me, but there wasn't enough space between the car and me,  ... i think he's bike didn't have any brakes - or maybe he didn't know how to work them ... took us both out. Lots of blood :(

The lesson for me was that danger comes from anyone - I mustn't only look for cars, but pedestrians and fellow commuters are equally unpredictable - need to know who's where all the time.

Jeez with so many commuters causing accidents, I think I must get back in my car again...
