Chubba Posted September 7, 2011 Share This is what most of you sound like.... So very typical. Poor attitude towards buyers/customersPoor customer service.Poor customer management. More than often, symptoms of the South African business environment. Many comments here, prove just that. Talking of "money" in hand, without any effort. Go for it ! Stick to that philosophy. One wonders why so many good business ideas never prosper.Think its missing an "A"?
Eldron Posted September 7, 2011 Share One wonders why so many good business ideas never prosper. Because one person yells Dibs on it so nobody else can use it then doesn't bother to follow up on the idea?

Guest agteros Posted September 7, 2011 Share Because one person yells Dibs on it so nobody else can use it then doesn't bother to follow up on the idea? Bloody agents shouting dibs, and sabotaging the economy. There should be huge financial penalties on dibs
Zac.A Posted September 7, 2011 Share Dibs should be banned from thehub classified section. If it causes so much anger and controversy.
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted September 7, 2011 Share So many business ideas don't prosper because people aren't prepared to put down the money to make a start. So many businesses also fail because people sit around waiting for promised funding when they should be campaigning all the time and not rely on one single lead... Eldron Posted September 7, 2011 Share So many businesses also fail because people sit around waiting for promised funding when they should be campaigning all the time and not rely on one single lead... Loads of ideas are thought out by salaried people who wear the olde golden handcuffs - great idea and completely viable but the thought of giving up a regular and comfortable salary for an "probably" is frightening. The sad part is that it only gets worse the older you get - the handcuffs get tighter and tighter as the salary grows and the idea eventually gets forgotten about... Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted September 7, 2011 Share like shouting dibs, and then sitting back and thinking that the world will come to you? Like accepting dibs as a firm offer of interest, and you are "negotiating terms" while denying the confirmed buyer on the phone with cash in his hand. I'm not salaried at all. But I'm passionate about what I do, and I look for opportunities all the time. Some may not work, some may. But I won't rest on my laurels for a "maybe" as "maybes" don't bring int he money...
Benjamin Posted September 7, 2011 Share If this whole 10 page dibs saga was a business, it would prosper big time. The business got paid solid cash up front before delivery, had customers fighting over his product, and got 10 pages of free advertising to boot.Easy as pie. Now customer base waits anxiously for their next offering.
Wyatt Earp Posted September 7, 2011 Share So many businesses also fail because people sit around waiting for promised funding when they should be campaigning all the time and not rely on one single lead...That was exactly my intention from my sarcastic comment, if the seller had to sit and wait for the dibber to put the money in his hands, he would get nowhere.
