SeaBee Posted April 19, 2015 Share At last took some more pics... Brandi actually gives attention - most likely a bird on the wall... And then doing what he does best - rest! Whilst Kahlua is contemplating this all... Uni and Tumbleweed
The Guy in Pink Posted April 19, 2015 Share I have been rather quiet about reporting on Marsie since her knee opp. last year. That's because Marsie has herself been rather quiet. After the opp she initially began to get back to being her old self, but about two months after the opp. we noticed that she became reluctant to jump up onto the furniture and bed as she used to. She also could not walk more than a few hundred metres without beginning to limp.We eventually worked out that the tendon her other knee had failed.Last week she had the opp to sort that knee out, and while she was sedated our vet x-rayed both knees and hips. He has warned us that the hips are likely to give trouble in future. It would appear that we will have to restrict the amount and intensity of exercise she gets, which is rather sad. Here she is back at home on Saturday just after the second knee opp. Tumbleweed

Tromp Posted April 19, 2015 Share My poor Sasha ( Lab ) has picked up the Spirocerca Lupi monster somewhere ( we don't live on a farm ) . At first I thought she had a bone stuck in her throat. Has lost about 6kg so far. Many Rands and love later , there has not been much of an improvement , if any. Edited April 19, 2015 by Tromp

IanJ Posted April 21, 2015 Share We rescued these two three year old brothers from a very neglected state last week, imagine our surprise when we let them out in the run and they ran smack into the fence and were falling in holes. It turns out they are totally blind at three years old. Their so called owner didn't even know they were blind The place they were kept also had a male and female Boerbull, none are sterilised and the female was on heat so you can imagine the trauma these boys went through with the Boerbull wanting to fight them all the time and they couldn't see. We took them to the eye specialist today and the problem is hereditary cataracts probably caused by inbreeding. We are trying to raise enough money to get the operation done to restore their sight and then will be looking for homes for them. They have never known a car, collar and leash or any affection but are responding well and have lots of love to give. They are a real handful at the moment being very confused, scared and blind, if we separate them by even a few metres they start crying for each other.
