That's the thing, I'm at work from Monday to Saturday so I'm not at home to feed him at certain times of the day. In regards to cat food, he gets his bowl of pellets at night, and on occasion, a sachet of wet food in a separate bowl, and then we fill his bowl with more pellets each morning. My wife works for the same company, although she works part time. When she's at home with our daughter, apparently Mr. Tigs is outside for the most of the day, and then usually comes back for food or just to chill on the couch or on the bed, or in our daughters cot.

It's for the past few weeks that he hasn't been coming home on a regular basis, in the 8 years I've had him, and something tells me that could be because our one neighbour has possibly been feeding him Woolies food, or it could be because he's not used to a toddler who gets over excited at times when she sees him. Just the other day our daughter got excited when she saw him, and as Tigs saw her approaching him, he went under our bed. So it could also be that he's at an age where he wants peace and quiet.

Cats can become quite jealous when there is someone else in their house...maybe try get your toddler just to chill a bit when she sees the cat..Tigs probably doesn't quite understand why what was a baby just the other day is storming him now.

He'll come round... is Tigs healthy, sometimes when they are ill they also do odd things?

But he could just he grumpy.

It is also been really hot..he could just have found a really nice cool place to spend his days.

Not an easy task, getting our daughter to chill when she doesn't want to chill. She's a little firecracker at times.

Well he's been generally quite healthy over the years, and according to the vet yesterday, he looked quite healthy. So as you say he could be grumpy, although it could be something else. I did mention to the vet yesterday that he's not too keen on our daughter getting too excited towards him, and the vet said that that could be a reason why he hasn't been home on a regular basis lately.

Well it's the same temperature at our neighbours place as it is at our place, so I don't think it would have much to do with looking for a cooler place to chill.

At the moment, the main thing is that we got him chipped, so at least we'll be able to find out where he is if he does decide to go on holiday again, and I'll be Googling on how to get an adult cat to adjust to a toddler.

Fudge our neighbour, she must get her own cat. When I was told who had Mr. Tigs, via the power of WhatsApp, I phoned her and during our phone call, she said it was such blessing as she doesn't have pets anymore. I almost said to her, "well don't think of it as too much of a blessing, I'm getting my cat back", although I sort of intimated to her in more subtle wording that she was not going to keep my cat. Although she also said she was worried that he might belong to somebody although he did look like he had been looked after, and I said to her that I have looked after him. And when my wife and I went to the neighbours place to fetch Tigs, she said it's heart breaking to see him go, so I said her it was more heart breaking for me as I've had the feline since 2010. He's been my only pet since then.

That's the thing though, if a person finds a cat, or a dog for that matter in their property, and has an idea that the animal belongs to someone else, why not at least take a photo of the animal and ask around if the cat or the dog belongs to somebody? Or why not take the animal to the SPCA?

The neighbour also said, "I'll keep in touch" just after I said thanks, and just before we were about to leave her property. So what she meant by that I don't know.

what happened Gogo ?

what happened Gogo ?

Good news!! We brought him home just over a week ago still rather sick. Not eating. Bit of a scare last weekend with bloody poops and diarrhea BUT Monday was a turning point. So we’re doing well and he’s growing again, and developing into a tiny little doglet.

Lots of cooking and feeding. Not much time for anything else! Plus some complications as we haven’t been able to integrate him into the family properly yet. I was scared I might break him he was so vulnerable when he arrived but now... we have a little black piranha on our hands ????

Haven’t had the energy to get the camera out but here he is in cellphone snapshot glory.

PS I am so chuffed but still think about his brother and sisters. His brother was gorgeous and we almost chose him... Parvo is absolutely devastating. So tell your friends as well: just do the inoculations!

There's a possibility we'll be getting a puppy from the SPCA in January.

He or she will be our daughter's first pet canine, he or she will be my wife's first pet canine outside her family, and he or she will be my first pet canine since 2005.

So we'll visit the local SPCA next month, and see if there's a pup that will grow to be small to medium in size.

Rufus is in the dog box! :cursing:

Shame man, that a cry for more food at dinner time.

Feed me..... !!!

Or maybe there was something stinking in there and he wanted to find and go bury it so it does not upset his human

Be nice ????

That dear Sir, is a labrahole dog.

Their keen sense of smell (not their bellies so much) drives them to do all manner of wild and interesting things. Digging holes because their noses tells them to do so is top priority, the bin bag is usually a second, but wold probably be a first if bin day was every day.

O yes, and when they get bored they chew things.

They're great dogs and if you're not a vigilant owner, they teach you to become one

Not my dog, but I got her for my dad. She's such cutie. We go visit her more than the parents. ^_^

And then my own boy. Benji. He's a bengal, Although I'm not really a cat person and also allergic to them, the bengals are a bit different.

My wife's aunt and uncle also have a Bengal. Very talkative kitty.

I believe their diets are quite complicated ?

Their diets are like normal cats. Royal Canin and pouchie food (aka cat cocaine)

Interesting.. I know someome who has one it is fed raw meat once a day..suppose just depends on how you raise them.[emoji2368]
