Edit:

Howz the budgie naming going?

We settled on Kiwi. Wanted to swing Ozzie but wife was dead set on the Kiwi Fruit.

I can snap some of Max and Abby on our next visit.

The therapy pups have their own website:

Have not seen them in a while. The chemo treatment is faster, bit when I sat there the whole day I would see them.

I had my twelve year old GSD on Vet's choice senior and he was slowing down dramatically. Changed to Orijen Senior and he became a different dog. Fletcher eventually passed away 2.5 years later.

Yes the food is expensive, and I have to sacrifice bike upgrades, but it works.

GSD still thriving on Orijen?

Enzo came with Meradog so we have kept him on it and he is healthy and doing really well..but he isn't mad about it.., so I am thinking of just making the switch to Orijen higher protein and no maize.

Orijen is perhaps the closest processed food they can get to a natural diet. 80% protein.

It is expensive, but it works.

Best part about it is picking up after him. Nice and firm

The other thing to remember is that you actually feed your dog less because of the diet.

My 35kg GSD is on 375g per day in two feeds

Okay so Enzo started the Elementary class on Saturday.. the mom had to stand in for the human as the human and the other human had their hockey club awards.

So now we are a bit more formal..no getting to play with his favourite pup friends during class anymore

Aaaah pups are so clever...they learn so fast.

My goodness his heel is so good ..working on the left foot bit now, so that eventually they know that when you step with left foot they know to follow and with the right foot they know to stay...this may turn out to be a bit more challenging for the human than the pup..takes a bit of getting used to stepping with your left foot first[emoji23][emoji23]

So class focusses a lot on loose lead walking and in walk they have to sit and then again walk and then down..360 right turns, 360 left turns and then the turn around. Quite a bit of a mental workout for pup and the mom[emoji23][emoji23]

We also continue with recall..which is his favourite thing to do..I had to go out of sight and recall and he came sprinting to me..so damn cute.

His focus is great eyes firmly locked on.[emoji4]

You will get used to it. Whenever I turn left I still lead with my left foot (and that's without a dog next to me  )

Probably going to end up saying in in in everytime I take a left turn even without Enzo

But I really enjoy it..

I was so proud of him..I had to show my son what he missed at class and after the second time when I said "in" Enzo just immediately turned left..how clever.. it amazes me how fast they learn... so amazing.
