DAY 19 : Feeling good , no craving, no issues. Went for a 40 k road ride and felt super strong. No irritabilty, no sweet cravings. I have maintained my diet and training and nothing has changed. I highly recomend kicking the habit for boost to the self esteem and pure riding pleasure.

Mooi so mater. Hou so aan! Ek is trots op jou tjom.

Ek moet bieg, ek haat rook. Niks kan my so irriteer soos iemand wat daai slegte besluit geneem het om te begin en dan rook waar ek is nie. Soos daai poepholle wat in 'n ry staan iewers en dink nou's die beste tyd. Ek date ook nie 'n girl as sy rook nie en sê vir hulle so.

Day 2: luckily I have an electric cigarette to sort out the cravings

Just leave everything. Electric smokes alles. You just in the habit of putting and puffing something in your mouth.

Go all out.

Good luck.

Agreed, I tried to quit many times but wound up starting again as soon as I took a drag on a smoke.

The last time I quit I did not touch a smoke, its been 4 years this week now.

I'm also battling with quiting.....started 2 weeks ago, was going good for the week, from a packet of 20 per day, I'm down to max 4 per day....

This weekend I should (must) quit completely.

It stinks and its dragging me down on everything I do...dis sommer *** om te rook......

Can remember the first training ride we did in Stellies just after you quit. Was hard on you. These days it's a lot easier on the bike for you.

I quit 8 years ago today, after smoking for 28 years, fool I was, the day after my youngest daughter was born.

I still get the cravings now and

again.

Well done to all you chaps that have quit, best thing that you could have done for your health.

The one thing that got me through, was the thought that the cravings only lasted for 5 to 10 minutes, and I only needed to resist for those 10 min.

REMEMBER THAT, IT'S THE CRUX OF GIVING UP.

Sorry I went all dibsy there :;):

edit; no years I smoked
