Cool pick!

Why is it that a helicopter always makes things look more intense? This would just be a picture of 2 guys cycling on a random dirt road, but add a helicopter hovering and bam!

I reckon I'm just going to photoshop helicopters into all me funride picks. Imagine a standard funride prick, but with an Apache gunship hovering behind you, maybe some explosions - awesome!

I wonder what it must be like to hear that chopper following you the most of the way?

The price you pay to be leading....

Some official pics from the finish of today's stage. I'll post more as they come through.

Re. the tension issue: I don't buy the reasoning that they're competitors so they obviously won't be friends. Take a look at the PMB WC event. All the DH'ers congratulating each other high-fiving all over the place. Then the XC competitors doing the same, and the ladies winner basically saying they're all good friends on the WC tour.

I wonder how things would have panned out had DG not punctured on the first stage. The two 36 teams are owning this race so far. Makes it look like a two horse show. I can only wonder how how different it would have been had 360life not lost so much time.

Wrt the tension, I'm not surprised. The two teams are basically trying to kill each other on the bikes. And there is still racing left to do. Competion is fierce, and there is a lot at stake.

Maybe like rugby players they might have a beer in lourensford. Smash each other on the field, have a beer afterwards and tell your opponent how hard he tackled you.

But ya, the Stauser pairing looks in great form.

What if this what if that.......

Ja sure if they did not have all the technical issues on stage 1 i think they would have had a commanding 2nd but a 2nd non the less. They are actually doing very well. Pedalstroke for pedalstroke they will never hold a candle to Sauser and Burry but they are sure showing that they can be competative with the best in the world. Makes me wonder why they never perform at a international race.................

Maybe Burry was asked to change his tone with regards to 360 Life after yesterday's post race interview? ;)

Or maybe he just thinks that yesterday 360 raced negative, and today they raced positive....

Maybe its a bit easier to smile when youve won convincingly ;)

Dont want to poen the can of worms again but its very possible that 360 just didnt have the legs to pull at the end of yesterday's stage, thus limiting time lost by sitting in. Not positive but what else to do? pull for 10 minutes then blow?

I hope they organize some matching red shorts for 360life......songo's so organised with yellow shorts already made for stage 1- classy.

What frame is William Keith riding on? He's usually on a van Nicholas 26 but someone posted a pic in one of the many Epic threads where it looked like a Cruz but I can't find it for love or money.

That's how they roll, gangsta if you look at burry's shades and skoens.

New Oakley Radar Lock to be launched in the next couple of months. Not bad. I see Keven also has a set or two. Have been popping up on the Euro scene for the past couple of races. SEXY!
