If you like Lego they have a great free software package called Lego Digital Designer. Its basically a 3D CAD package with libraries of most of the existing lego bricks that you can build with on your PC. Its not as nice as playing with the real thing but so much less costly.

Circa 1987. Please note the price. Just waiting for my son to get old enough, then I'll bring the blocks down out the roof.post-1186-1433608147,9853.jpg

I envy your son! Hahahaha!

I remember buying a Lego South African flag in '95 for R29.99. Still wish I had that set.

Between the_nerd and myself, we have a huge amount of lego and all the boxes and instructions. It's currently all at our parents house. Our children will be allowed to play with it, but it's not to leave that house. Obviously, this means I have to start my son's collection from scratch. Oh no..........

I've been building this, and it is one of the most frustrating Lego sets I've ever tried to put together...

It's the Imperial Hotel from the Architecture series. I have the Robie House set from the same series waiting to be built next, but I think I'll find something more fun to build before I get to it...

Finished it...There's something not quite right with the instructions, though. There seems to be something missing...will have another look at it tonight.

It also rates as one of the flimsiest and finicky sets I've come across.

Am in Durbs this weekend. Any good toy shop suggestions to look for Lego?
