I keep my hands under my blankets at home (this works for my feet as well) and then go riding when it is warmer in the middle of the day.

I have inner gloves as well as my normal winter glove.

The inner glove is designed to add that extra layer of insulation.

Remember, these strategies is not to keep your extremities warm and toasty.

It is to limit the chill so you can still use your brake levers and gruppo and control your machine.

Any notions of keeping warm on the bike - forget about it!

Anatomic toe caps, Anatomic thermal arm warmers, club wind jammer, BBB long fingered gloves. This was to survive the Bela-Bela race.

Not sure what to do during winter. Maybe do the Tour de Lounge?

Ie plastic, metal wood etc.

I'd like a pair of solid carved gloves or the metal option a la Freddy Kruger ;)

Just ordered a pair of the Pro Ultimate gloves from buycycle. Windex apparently. Nice looking gloves, fit well and thin. Cost: R289.

I found some welding gloves at the hardware store, grey cotton material with a black plastic coving the fingers and palm. Only R45

So far they have worked by themselves. and dont look to bad.

but with winter here may need something else on top.

or Assos make a lobster glove. they look good.

I tried this latex glove business for the first time on Saturday, did nothing for me

Not going near that... I'm allergic to latex. No, really, it's not just an excuse to the ladies.

So how cold is it going to be out in the Magaliesburg this Saturday?

I

Magalies (village) is pretty cold but the Buffelspoort Valley where the monster is being held is usually a couple of degrees warmer but make no mistake, the mornings are cold no matter which side of the Magalies you are! Last year I started with arm warmers but there was a mud puddle/bath a few K's into the race which left me feet cold and wet! This year I will take a couple of checkers packets to slip over my feet if that crossing is still there!

Put the latex glove over your normal ones.
