I want to know more about it.But when I look at the GT bikes on their website, I can not find this model or frame!Is it an older frame? Don't they make it anymore? Yeah, you are correct, I think they switched over to normal dropouts with the 2013 frames, as mine is a 2011 model and a friend of mine has a 2012 with the same dropout.
