That colour

160/170 - that is a serious beast! What fork is it getting?

I was surprised it was their current version that was at such a good discount. Not sure what fork, I have a riibbon that I can sell to a friend so I guess it is the usual options. Pike / MRP / 36 / Ohlins / Formula but I have been following a recent thread and I might see what the max travel a Manitou goes to (160mm I think) or how much the new Marzocchi Z1s are. I think a Pike might be the best option as there are alot of them starting to come up second hand at decent prices and the charger 1s are being run out quite low as well. Shame the frame didn't come up before CRC were selling the 36's @ 55% off last week.

Looking at what little reviews I could find it seems it's on the trail AM / Enduro use rather than the pure race enduro which is even better for my riding.

Don't think you can get the pike at 170mm, it's either Yari or Lyrik. I speak under correction

Why not just use the Ribbon? It can be spaced up to 170mm (will cost you R125 for spacers, and R350 for a lowers service from Stoke). Would be the perfect fork for that bike...

Those 36s were a good deal, but there were only 5 or 6, and they were gone in a matter of minutes!

My Ribbon is a 29'r and the Vitus is a 650b. A ribbon would be amazing on that and the one 170 fork I'd be ecstatic about putting up the front.

Just been checking their builds on this frame and they also spec a 160mm fork on some models so that allows for pike and Manitou and the Mattocs are on special at CRC as well at the moment.

Very nice looking bike, lack of local support would scare me a bit though...........

TBH CRC are very good with sorting warranty issues from abroad. I think of it as a buy direct model like YT just with longer to post it. The shock is available locally and you can always persuade the international / local guys to do the work here. The Frame is alu as GM said and in all my years of riding I've never had an issue with a carbon or metal frame new or second hand so I've never really thought about it that side of things. I imagine that if something does fail then I might curse my self alot though.

After a few options, lots of decisions and much discussion I finally bought a replacement frame. 170 up front / 160 rear, RS super deluxe, 50% off. Thanks CRC.

many happy miles .... and the question others are asking RE replacement should things go wrong ... CRC will look after you, it may just take a little longer, or maybe even not given that at times local agents for "locally found" brands also have to wait for new shipments before they can resolve a warranty issue.

personally I would not sweat it, build her up and have as much fun as you can.
