Squier Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 If you don't like his victory celebrations I'd suggest you stop watching... There's definitely more to come! petatodd, Cav' and Tumbleweed 3
Tankman Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 He rides like a machine! Pity he behaves like a tool at the finishline For me, being cocky completely overshadows whatever talent he has. I don't care if he wins, if you act like a ****... then guess what... Cut the guy some slack, he is only 22 and enjoying himself. He probably hasnt found his signature victory "dance". At least he is not dry humping other men like those pansies on the soccer field! nathrix 1
Tumbleweed Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Cut the guy some slack, he is only 22 and enjoying himself. He probably hasnt found his signature victory "dance". At least he is not dry humping other men like those pansies on the soccer field! Hahahahahahahahahaha! And his victory dance has nothing on the confidence/arrogance of Hugo Koblet: Koblet always carried a comb and a bottle of eau de cologne when he raced, sometimes combing his hair before the finish, always cleaning his face before meeting photographers.[28][29] Philippe Brunel wrote in L'Equipe that at the end of his long ride to Agen in 1951, "followers were astonished to see him sit up, blow kisses to girls and take out of his pocket a sponge soaked in water. He was barely across the line when he rinsed his face in Perrier,[30] combed his hair, then started his stopwatch."[31] The music hall artist Jacques Grello nicknamed him the Pédaleur de Charme in Parisien Libéré in 1951.[32][33][34 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugo_Koblet
manbearpig Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I think Sagan should do the following when he wins another stage. Turn around on his saddle to face the peleton, whilst pedalling backwards do a no handed wheelie over the line, Right hand in the shape on an "L" on his forehead, Left hand giving the bird, mouthing the word "Loooooserrrs!".........cos that's what I would do if I won a Tour stage at 22. rudi-h Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Cycling needs a guy that's clean and fun and wins a shyteload of races. Cavendish doesnt have the silly victory dances and I think he's a great guy, but he also has his downfalls. He bitches in the media every time he doesnt win. Bottom line is that Sagan is good for the sport, so keep your "he's being a ****" comments for yourself. Just ride your bikes and let sagan do what the hell ever he wants. To win half of the tdf stages you've ever contested in, and to be top 5 in the other half is one heck of an achievement. nathrix and RockCoach 2

That was the one that got him yanked from a race.

Tubehunter Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 You do realise his nickname in the leeky-gas team is Forest.....Properly explains his last celebration. You lot are seriously funny trying to decide how someone should celebrate an achievement a very select group of people will ever get in their lifetimes! Society as a whole wont ever win a stage of the tour, so why should it dictate what is appropriate???
Cyclewizz Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I think he should continue celebrating after each win.I'd also be extremely cocky if I had his talent and was winning TDF stages in my 1st appearance. Continue celebrating Sagan !!!!! petatodd 1
scotty Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 If you enjoy watching his antics on the bike cool, i don't, also cool.
MTBer wannabee Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I thought cricket was the only gentlemans sport. Let him do his thing, its cool.

SwissVan Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Its a fine line between appearing windgat or just refreshingly different... Didn't like his display on Stage 1 (hands on hips and flexing biceps) but enjoyed the the next one (forest gump) but ja will be good to see what he comes up next.
