Ysterperd Posted July 4, 2012 Share There is a bit of arrogance in all of us, more so if you accomplished what he did. I actually enjoy the side show. Rahther that than the alternative where someone actually wins the TdF only to be disqualified for doping. As long as he does not deride his fellow competitors I say "jolly good show old chap" arendoog and petatodd

The Saint Posted July 4, 2012 Share **** given enough time I would do a handstand across the line if I could win a stage of the TDF, in fact I would ride back and high five some of the crowd members. There can never be anything wrong with celebrating being first, unless of course you are carrying a sign saying Cavendish is a **** but then again that would also not be wrong. arendoog and W3RN3R
divernick Posted July 4, 2012 Share Haha,he's only 22. Of course he's going to act in a childish way! I say don't worry about what he does over the line - it's that he's there first that counts! Let's see how he copes for the rest of the tour.....

_David_ Posted July 4, 2012 Share His a mountain biker so in my eyes he can do NO wrong on twitter yesterday: Sagan was 4th at u23 world champs in Aus when Burry Stander won. His 1st yr as u23 rider. 2008 Jnr XCO World Champ. There's the source of his character Edited July 4, 2012 by d@vid
kosmonooit Posted July 4, 2012 Share Yah Peter the Jedi. He is just having a laff. I don't think its disrespectful but it seems others in the peloton do (and that's what ultimately counts) so perhaps he should tone it down a bit, although after the next stage win we expect him to pull a wheelie over the line. KnobbyMech Posted July 4, 2012 Share I don't know him, so I cannot tell yet whether I like him or not. I just know he is bloody strong and he races as smart as the experienced guys. Don't mind his celebrations either. I used to think Usain Bolt is a tjop for his showmanship, but now it is so part of him, I enjoy it. Remember when you were a kid, imitating your heros. This guy will be many a kids hero and at least they will be having some fun!

AuctionLamb Posted July 4, 2012 Share Cycling needs a character...almost like Chippo! Arrogant when winning a stage...no way...celebrate the way you like! Imagine everyone did the same old victory salute...how boring! nathrix, _David_ and greenlight
Velouria Posted July 4, 2012 Share From BikeRadar:Notable author Richard Moore suggested one solution for those who object to the antics: "If you don't like Sagan's victory celebrations there's one good way to stop them, chaps."His colleague Daniel Freibe agrees. "So, are Sagan's celebrations obnoxious? I say no - like he said in presser, people will tune in to see what he does next. Great for sport."There is no word yet from the UCI, which regulates everything from sock height to saddle tilt, on whether it would follow the National Football League in banning excessive victory celebrations. nathrix and _David_
