Neil, you know you want a 29er.....esp when you see mine this weekend...those 26er wheels just arent fast enuf

I battle to stay upright on small wheels, imagine what will happen if I get the "circus" edition ;)

One can see you lot has eaten plenty clown sh$% today?

It is a technical course. You'll be able to do it on a HT, FS, 29, 26....pick you poison.

What will make or break you on the day is your fitness level. It is a hard ride (70km).

So be fit.....and you'll be fine!

If you are doing the marathon, a dropper seat post will come in handy, there are some hooj technical descents. Either that or practice getting your weight far back like 'em pros

Hi all.

Let me start by saying that I do not want to start another 26" vs 29" thread.

I would like to know from guys/girls that have ridden at Van Gaalens which of the two wheel sizes they felt worked best for them. I started riding in July last year so admittedly i am not the best in the technical sections.

Just want to get an idea of which bike to lean towards come race day.

Thanks for the help

Ride whatever bike you have, its all about fitness and rider skill anyway.

I dont know much about Van Gaalens...or Nissans & stuff..but wouldn't

"What type of tyres (type not size) will roll better through all the cheese & cow poop"

be a better question?? :whistling:
