We are sleeping over at the start (tents) Dedicated driver will break up camp and meet us at finish. He will then drive us back home. Sorted.

You turn up and pitch your tent on the showgrounds fields. For free.

 

Be careful though, as you enter the showgrounds there is a caravan park / camp site to your left with some oke charging to get you a place. You can pay him and stay there. Or you drive past him and his little table and go onto the showgrounds where registration is.

 

DON'T pay, camp for free.

 

Only noobs get caught and pay to camp.

Dose, mate, dose! I have a lower back spasm from héll. Chiro helped out yesterday afternoon. But he was not lying when he said it will get worse before it gets better. I am hoping like crazy he's spot on about the second part as well. The way I'm feeling now, I'll struggle to make the car trip there, let alone the bike trip once there! Haven't had this in aaages, now of all times... (but it could have happened as we were packing up to go!)

4 hours serious race snake

5 hours well fit

6 hours fit'ish (repeatedly thinking to yourself you should have trained harder) 5 hours a week just wasnt enough.

7 hours the optimistic crowd that know they should not have been there on race day.

8 hours the slugish that thought it would be a good challenge but blame their heavy bikes for everything.

 

The 8hrs that he helped everyone he could including a 45min stop to change "someone's" back tire ? lol

Dont forget the USN Cramp Stop pills which I ran out of thanks to too many guys not brining any !

Guys, this race is no joke - it's hot as hell out there and YOU WILL cramp up

 

That being said I had a jol with 'ol Covie last year. Good 1 mate. Sorry I'm not making this year gettin married n all you know.

Hi all

 

My husband and I will be doing the ride on Sunday. We are being dropped off in Uniondale on Saturday, and picked up in Knysna.

 

Is there anyone who could assist with transporting our overnight bags to Knysna? We will have to take sleeping bags etc for our stay, and obviously will struggling carrying it on the ride

 

I'd be happy to pay as well (within reason - :-))

The K2C is not just a mtb challenge. Its a damn logisitical nightmare also and part of challenge. They should present a medal at the start
