Growth Hormone (HGH) - WADA and SA drug free sport why can I not use it?

I turn 40 this week and would like to take Growth Hormone (HGH) ( The drug called the fountain of youth) for longevity - my belief /what I have been told is it's like the new salusa 45 - just work a hell of a lot better from lubricating your joint to getting better eye sight and hearing. But I also do sport for health reason / longevity and am subjected to been tested - so I don't! Surely if something is going to keep you healthy and maybe even keep you living for longer it shouldn't be banned - or made legal to a certain limit or legal after a certain age?

Maybe not a good example but:

People or Gov are quite happy give out Anti retro for HIV + people which is ultimately so HIV+ people can live longer with more comfort - ageing also causes death (maybe still the most common cause of death) and HGH in small quantities are meant to do the same / have similar effect for healthy people as anti retro's do for HIV+ people from what I have been told!

If gov were to give out "anti ageing drug" for free - would this then make them legal in sport?

Anyone with a direct line to drug free sport?

Armstrong confided to several people that HGH likely contributed to his testicular cancer. This is cited in Hamilton's book and elsewhere. No doubt he overdid it when quite young, but all the same, unless you have the cash to pay for top-notch medical advice, and perhaps even then, it's seems like a dangerous road to go down.

Where did you hear about the jaw side effect? That sounds like a load of BS... The meadia spreads all these vicous rumours about performancing enhancing drugs to detour people from taking them. If you look at the common gym rat they take the stuff regardless because it makes a difference and the side effects are not what you guys are making it seem

Yes, the gym rats probably have it right, they are always a reliable guideline on what is safe to take, as well as the appropriate dose. My advice : take what they're having, but up the dosage to about 200% of that and see how you get on. All the best.

Isn't that enough proof that the stuff is bad for you?

There is nothing to stop you stop you using HGH and maintaining your youthful looks and abilities. See your doctor and have him prescribe it for you. Book an appointment with a orthodontist at the same time.

Do however know that it will give you an unfair advantage over fellow athletes and therefore know that you will not be able to compete in any sanctioned event.

SA institute of drug free SPORT says it all.

Actually a friend of mine. He is a personal trainer and “ gym rat“! Also very clued up on all the behind the scenes nonsense that goes on in body building and doping in general. He rides too, just did w2w last weekend. He's not a typical gym airhead, but pretty clued up.

Why can't you take it and still compete in sports? Let me spell it out for you.

1 - If you take it, it will give you a performance advantage over other competitors (many studies show this)

2 - There are known short and long term health risks to taking substances like this - especially when taken in dosages that improve sporting performance, which are as a general rule - WAY beyond thereaputic doses, and often so high that nobody is willing to take a risk of testing those dosages.

3 - Other competitors should not be obliged to place their lives/futures/kids at risk in order to compete on an equal footing with you (a cheat)

Simple isn't it - oh wait - I forgot who I was explaining it to.

HGH is just a normal hormone that deminishes in the body with old age. Surely supplementing with It can be seen as an expanded HRT program if you want to counter the side effects of old age?

what is wrong with keeping the body tip-top? (Forget about the PED angle when answering that)

If your head is wrapped around the idea of supplementing normal hormones (with medically validated quantities - small amounts!) for longevity, sure then that brings up another question regarding performance enhancing in sport.... I've posed that 'problem' yesterday as well. Did not receive any "takers" on it though...

But if a population are basically all on HRT and it enhances their physical abilities to the point of where the performance of 'normal' humans it pityful, will they not expect (like us) that their stars outperform them?

Will that legalise HRT in sport, or will there be parameters above which you may not go, or will it introduce a new sporting class for 'augmented humans'?

conrad stoltz once said... If it doesn't grow, don't use it!

take the advice from a real champ and live by that!

so, would blood transfusions be ok?

nope, the point is to do things naturally. i.e. getting your nutrients from real food and leaving your body to take care of hormone levels, red blood cell levels etc.
