Ok so I'm thinking of getting a R5 SL lookalike, carbon seatpost, handlebar and some 30mm carbon clinchers...where is the best place to get all of this and how do I go about doing it?

Buy from the more reputable companies, hongfu, dengfu, yishunbike, farsports etc. Chinese carbon is cheap, but then you also get smaller companies that sell on eBay etc at even better prices, but their products are inferior. Attached some pics of what can go wrong. Taken from rbr forum

 

 

Concerning rims or wheels, have a look at yishunbike. They have launched a new 2015 range U shaped rims which look very nice. Depth available: 38/50/60/88mm

I went to my LBS and they scratched around in there BIG drop out box and managed to match one.I would imagine if you go to any merida dealer they would source you one.

Do you think Dengfu would do one with mountings for disc brakes?

 

Do they do any road bikes with Disc brake mountings?

was at a Merida dealer 2 weeks ago & they did exactly that "scratched around in the big drop out box" but found none.
