Hi guys, has anyone ordered Carbon Rims? How will I determine what the spoke length will be if I want to order spokes?

The manufacturer will publish a ERD which is the diameter. The hub manufacturer will publish the flange diameter and flange distance.

You use these to work out the length of the spokes you need by going here and using the calculator http://www.wheelpro.co.uk

So I ordered my first Carbon 30mm wide asymmetric MTB rims.

12 days later and it was delivered to my door! I am impressed!

Can't wait to build them up

I would be able to build you a pair with Rapide Ultra Light Hubs, XD driver and weighing in at 1470 grams, for R13k

Some thoughts on this frame? The seatpost is 27,2mm, so would be able to use something else. Just slightly concerned about the seatpost clamp. What do you think? Frame made by hongfu

Any suggestions on a suitable frame for a 29er SS?

I read on the MTBR forum that some of the "thinner" chainstay frames flex a bit when used as a SS.

looking at a sub 8kg build using a Beer Components EBB for tensioning.

I know its probably the wrong thread to say this, but for SS there is only one material, and that is Steel
