patches Posted May 24, 2013 Share How much coverage does the shin guard part cover?Way too bulky to be practical. Good coverage though. Can't judge properly as I haven't seen them in person, but from the looks of them (and from the intended use) they're for dirt bikes and are made to be worn withboots, so they probably don't come down the shin as far as MTB specific ones do. According to the site they can be used for MTB. Tried them on last weekend and they are pretty bulky. Will restrict pedaling a lot and will catch on the frame a bit. Won't recommend them... Beer4Recovery Posted June 20, 2013 Share Eyewear? Currently using some old Oakley Gas Cans, but they can get fogged up quite quickly in rainy & cold conditions. Didn't wore them on the Karkloof Enduro because of potential mud damage and suffered big time with dirt in the eyeballs. I see some guys go with goggles - makes sense.
