I am using IXS daggers, they also dont budge. Had few knee impacts already and they have made up for the price.

Found A set of 661's , had them on my ankles for the transitions but on the stages they pedaled great.

Have yet to fall with them but the marterial is super gripy so I doubt they'll move. Will report back once my talent runs out

I have the 661's, have had a few falls and they have held up extremely well, no injuries and they show almost no wear...Awesome pads!!

just buy hope. Same price. Better performance. More spares. Etc etc etc.

Or, just buy frikkin Zee's. More powerful, only 55g more. Or get a Zee caliper if you prefer your current XT levers. Fully compatible.

Hope = 2500 per side ex vat.

Plenty Team riders use XTR levers with ZEE calipers.

Uhm, what?  These things were released to the media yesterday.  That's a mighty statement to make based on a media release that's not even a review.

it's also my opinion based on:

Smaller pistons than zee & saint

Shimano's legendary spares availability

Zee are 55g more

Hope's performance longevity is second to none

Hope's spares availability is second to none

EDIT: I don' tthink it's a bad decision. I think it should have never been done away with in the first place (XT had 4 pot calipers on their "trail" version a while back) but at the price of USD 200 per side... No thanks. If they were USD 150 per side.... different story. But then still, Zee.

4 pot XT's. Yum! Hopefully we'll see these boys on the more gravity orientated enduro bikes like the Reign soon.

Myles I'm not so sure about the more spares oke. Getting those little rubber gubbins is an ordeal in SA which is why I buy a service kit every time I go to Morz.

But I agree on one thing tho. If I was to deviate from the OEM items on my bike and buy aftermarket I'd only go one way. If you're going to spend the extra $ for aftermarket brakes you may as well get something special. Hope for sure.

They're more expensive than Guide RSC's, to put it into perspective. Unless the RRP is just a suggested thing and the likes of CRC discount them below that...

But that's like, my opinion, man. And it may well change if the pricing does and the reviews are stellar.

One thing for certain is that CRC will have them on sale at some point and also they will likely sell more of these now with all the sram sanctions.

Oh, I don't mean locally. I mean in general. And their legacy spares availability is great as well.

I mean ordering from CRC when you need anything. Local guys, as you say, are a bit shaite.

Used one of those Bontrager trail ids on the weekend. I idiotically forgot to pack my lid so went to the Bikepark to ask Chris if I could borrow one. Was expecting a rental lid but he let me use one of those new Bontrager boys.

2k for a trail lid with MIPS. If I was in the market for a new helmet I'd struggle to justify buying anything else. They have a comfort guarantee so if you don't like how it fits you take it back for a full refund.

Fit was amazing.

Eyewear interface was great

adjustability was great

I didn't test the mips thankfully.

The only 2 potential negatives were the venting and weight. It could get warm under there and it's not light. But if you are looking for those levels of protection the lid is going to be a bit warmer and heavier than a light roadie lid. Weight & venting feels on par with a Bell super. But the fit (for my scone) was MUCH MUCH better.

Saw them when we had the AGM a while back. That price was bloody awesome for the features.

I might be in the market soon, if I keep on crashing like I have been doing lately. I think I am around at least once a month and its all simple stupid stuff.

I have to do a proper inspection after my last one.
