Wyatt Earp Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I don't like Contador, have gained some admiration for him, yet I am not a fan. This what he says here is pretty scary, and he is quietly confident.Especially the bit I highlighted. “My condition is not brilliant but I improve every day in the grand tours,” said Contador. “I feel my best in the third week. Froome is very strong, but we saw during the Vuelta last year that he struggled in the third week, so we need to wait and not think that it’s impossible. rouxtjie, Steven Knoetze (sk27), X-Man and 1 other 4

Kranswurm Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 When is the next big mountain stage? Stage 15 which finishes on Ventoux
CAAD4 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Any truth in the rumour that Jens won yesterday's rest day???
GrumpyOldGuy Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 You mean Rodrigeuz campaign? Was a great attack by him....only problem is that was he's only truly dominating day in the last 12 months of racing. Yeah, it was Rodriguez, I like Dan Martins comment "Everyone is going to have a bad day, the one who has the least bad day's will win" sounds pretty much it to me.
NotSoBigBen Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 So wassup for today lads, the usual break down the road everyone else chilling then the mad chase at the end and a sprinters delight?
SwissVan Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 So wassup for today lads, the usual break down the road everyone else chilling then the mad chase at the end and a sprinters delight? Next four or five days see's chance for the sprinters I think or maybe a few chancers like Gilbert?Come on Dale, where's the route profile and map for today?
hboli4 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I like what the organisers have done with the planning of the route. Anything can happen right up to the last day into Paris. I reckon stages 19 & especially 20 will still be able to cause a major shake-up. They will both be targeted for major time gains, 19 may be suited for an early break on the 2 HC blimbs ala Andy Schleck a couple of years back when he scored some time on Cadel from 70km out and 20 is nice and short for major attacks to happen and both these after a day of climbing Alp'dUez twice!!!
GrumpyOldGuy Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I guess a mad chase for the sprinters. Nothing in the way of hills so to speak, just a short 4 cat climb of about 1 km which I doubt will worry anyone and its straight to the finish, with the TT tomorrow I think the GC contenders will be dozing in the sun and saving some energy.

SwissVan Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 (edited) Looks like a Cavendish, Goss and Kittel finish preferably those 3 but not necessarily in that order.....need the points I do http://www.steephill.tv/2013/tour-de-france/resources/10-profile.jpg Edited July 9, 2013 by SwissVan
hayleyearth Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 oh...it is such day again... okay so I have googled it and cant find it....where can I find a simple page with all the start time of the rest of the stages? Apparently the apps aren't compatible with S4's..
jcza Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 So wassup for today lads, the usual break down the road everyone else chilling then the mad chase at the end and a sprinters delight? Correct - will more than likely see attacks from the start. Gap to grow to around 10 mins then the peleton will get angry and catch them in the last 2km. Sprinter to win the stage, everything else to remain as is. NotSoBigBen 1
