Has anyone watched them and The Last Kingdom and how do they compare?

Vikings is the type of series I should like in theory. Watched the first 2 seasons when GOT was still big, probably bad timing because you inevitably compare and at the time it was meh for me. Might give it another try now that GOT is forgotten.

 

Think Last Kingdom is very good and relatively faithful to the books on which it is based on.

 

Interestingly the timing of events of the 2 series overlap somewhat. Depicting the same history from 2 different perspectives, one Norse and the other English.

There's a program here in Spain called "Wild Frank". This week Frank is in SA. He was filming Hippos with a remote control boat earlier, now he's pulled 2 back Mambas out of a tree and he has them by the tails while he tells the audience how dangerous they are . . . . .

I haven't watched it yet.. But apparently very good... It's been on my list since it came out

Watched the first episode of Professionals. Ok if you're looking for some action themed entertainment. If you like shows like NCIS LA / the new MacGyver you might like this.

Figured this was the right thread, looking for recommendations for stuff to watch.  Only now coming out of a  long whirlwind of a really busy career and  2 children very close in age so literally haven't watched anything besides Derry Girls.  Children are now  older  and more independent  so have a little bit of free time in the evenings. Never watched Vikings, GOT and other series I probably haven't even heard of etc.   

 

I have just  started to watch SOA and really enjoying it. I do also  really enjoy the soundtrack.

 

 I enjoy British series, crime series, reality but not like Hollywood stuff more like everyday people, comedies, documentaries  etc. but am open to different genre. Show has to kind of grab me from the beginning. 

 

So I  am open to suggestions, have Netflix.  Can be old shows as its been a  while.

You sound like good candidate for Peaky Blinders ... and if you are enjoying the soundtrack to SOA, you will certainly enjoy the soundtrack to PB too!
