OK - so I did this.

(I've done rides that took less time!)

In other words, it's cool (i.e. look up "Winter" in a dictionary!!) - I've been training all winter!

Depending on where I am e at any given moment, it might rain there at some point in the day/night.... but it also might not.

I was expecting rain from underneath anyway (rivers) - so what if it comes from the top!!!

Westerly wind is cool (until J-Bay).

What I have learned from this hour long exercise:

  1. Only those of us riding will really know the weather.

  2. I will must stop looking at the weather

  3. It’s a challenge… expect a challenge... I signed up for a challenge.

4. It won't nearly as bad as "The Wet One"

5. It will build character and give us great war stories.

looks like a spot of rain---30% --well thats 70% chance of no rain with nice west wind--lets do this thing.

I was actually expecting the route to be wet, but the last newsletter said it's going to be dry - but the weather says we might get wet.

An hour north of Bloem, team Time-&-Again are travelling hopefully. Making ride plans, not expecting anything extremean apart from, maybe, the distance.

I am not even doing it and I am super nervous. Do you guys realize how much pain awaits in the Baviaans Kloof??

Legs and lungs burning will get a new meaning..... Your arse is going to literally fall off.

Your body will start to shut down around lunch time. It cant be done.....

PS:- I am in the market for an entry if anyone decides not to go....

The weather was perfect prior to the newsletter, right after that newsletter, the heavens opened up and its been raining on and off this whole week so far, seems like its starting to clear up now but then again its raining loads in CT (and its coming this way)

It will be cold and it will be wet.
