Hey Nance, some female back up will be good... apparently I should be breeding not riding the Epic. And if I am not breeding then I am baiting certain people!

Posted

I honestly think there is more real advice on the web.

1. Yes it was you we were joking about, who wouldn't you take sucker punches all the time, why can't we.

2. Timing chip error, I believe you, sincerely I do, I just don't have faith in you.

3. Is tis thread about you ?

4. What makes you so full of yourself.

5. the world is much bigger than some lonely ex South African who desperately tries to stay in contact with people he can't stand.

1. Thanks for being honest, funny how some people thought I was imagining it.

2. Why do you need to have faith in me, it would be nice but tbh I don't expect it?

3. No, neither is it about you. Why make posts referring to me when you know I will respond? If you want to take sucker punches at me do it when I post something you don't agree with, not before I even make a post on a topic.

4. I don't know, why don't you tell me why i'm so full of myself.

5. Assumptions.....I'm starting to think that you and I are so alike we will never get on, maybe that's why you think you know so much about me.

PM your response and unblock me so I can reply, I'm sure people are tired of reading the same shite over and over.

If you do i'll use the pm function next time instead of posting sucker punches.

Carry on baiting me and this will just carry on and on

Not reading all the posts inbetween and giving advice from two Epics done! In our training fr this years Epic, we did our local clubs TT once a month. Its about 14km long with a few sharp climbs. Every time we went out we gave it our all and took us about 30 min. Afterwards you would have no gas left and totaly smashed, so for once every month we only trained 30min, but it helped us a LOT at the prologue. We trained for the prologue in other words and could manage a good pace. At first we decided not to go over 80%HR on the prologue but we ended up on a average of 93%HR!

So, I would say if you train for the prologue, go relatively hard. By doing this you will be ranked in a better starting group and then from Monday you only work to keep that position. We rode at 75%HR from Monday and at hardest went up to 85%HR. You will start to struggle to get HR up latwr the week, but thats normal.

Wish I could be there again next year......

It's amazing how often it happens in multiday races... Always a good laugh (when it's not you)

Only happened once to us so far - after about 8 races together in a year and a half... :) and man was he grumpy...

Luckily we still talk to each other and have 2 more events paid up for together - PE2Plett and 2014 Epic.. We drove over 10 000km together in the last year.... best you get on well for that...

That's quite a low blow.

I have never been last in an Epic prologue.

I don't need to balance on baby waves.

I actually have friends.

I am not two faced.

Now point number 1 will answer point number 4.

I never said the thread was about you, I said we were joking about your awesome prologue result, nothing to do with the thread, Carly Simon has the answer.

Unblock you so you can be the same you were the last time about an acronym that you argued with me that I made up some story.

Nee ou maat, you can maar stay where you are and rot in your loneliness.

You could always call me d@@s again as you feel it's justified, I must say ,you did that in such a smooth careful way, but I am sure a few peeps needed that to see the real you.

Now instead of jacking the thread, give some advice like the rest of us did.

Having paid off my bond and my car installment ( in case I get tuned on that) I have found myself in the lucky position of securing an Epic entry. I am looking for advice on how to tackle the Prologue bearing in mind there are 7 stages to come. Do I go full taps or rather play it nice and easy. Advice from previous riders welcome.

have done the Epic last year, had a tough and slow prologue, managed to make up 100 places the next day. I would say relax, enjoy and take it easy.

My line of thinking too.
