I know of 2 Anthems that cracked at the seatpost/top tube point and they were replaced, one alu and one carbon.

They do however check frame size compared to ride length and weight before approving.

they never checked with me.

This whole thing sucks man.. I had a crack in my seat tube on my 2012 Fondriest TF3. Bought it at CWC. Showed Chris jr the crack and he immediately told me to take the bike to the shop for a replacement. No questions asked. Got a brand new TF3 1.2 2013 model. The workshop at CWC took almost 2 weeks to build my bike though.. But other than that, very happy.

I also think stuff like that should be covered in the warranty. Although, I do understand where they are coming from. If you over tighten that stuff, it will break, and that's not their fault. It is clearly labeled to what torque the clamps and things on your bike should be tightened.

Anyway, I haven't really said anything of value there, but oh well. Best of luck with the bike!

My friend has a crack on his frame(seat post) and specialized does not want to come to the party.........they say he damaged the bike while falling?

To start off with your friend should not have bought a crap bike.

its a brand with the industries highest crack list

Contacts as in a bike shop where he can buy a new frame? Or a shady black market 2ndhand frame? Or a cheap import from China?

Unfortunately, bikes don't usually just crack near the seatpost. Someone did something funny.

Maybe a fatty sat on the bike

Be very careful with a torque wrench. If it is not 100% calibrated it can do a lot of damage. From 3 to 4 Nm is 25% difference.

I once cracked the top tube of a road bike in the clamp of a bike stand. Well it was a Giant, so I should have known not to clamp it.

Ok just a joke about the Giant, but be careful with clamps and wrenches
