SA Champ on a BOOTH

Congratulations to Luc Mellaart who became a SA Champ over the weekend at the SA National MTB XCO Championships on Hayterdale Trails - Addo.

 

Luc rode a BOOTH BIKES 26" small hardtail, with custom built ZTR wheels laced to a Project 321 lefty hub and a Lefty fork with carbon bars and stem.

that's cool, but cant help thinking a lefty is the wrong choice for a little guy with it being so tall? I know I could never ride a bike with a lefty for that very reason.....either way it must be working for him......

We chose a lefty as Luc doesn't weigh much and the lefty provides the best suspension movement for very light riders. The axle to crown suited the frame perfectly,

I am in absolute awe with these youngsters.Blinding fast in the single track,doing the gap jump at SA's no problem.Our future is bright.Well done to you all,you make this old ballie proud.
