I'll screw up the averages here. Let's go steel:

 

Colnago Master. Bought second (or more) hand. All Campy Chorus. Mavix CXP30 wheels.

11.3kg.

R5000.00.

R442/kg.

 

Le Turbo. Bought third hand in 1985. Sachs-Huret & Weinemann & Mavic

10.3kg (yup. lighter than the 'Nag)

R48/kg

 

Oh, and ha-ha: ratio of bike to rider's weight ...

Rider 60kg

= 5.3

Good point on rider weight...we were discussing the other day on combined weight and what percentage loss would be off frame and off body...

I think the combined weight is a good idea. Combined, we are 89,7kg of blood sweat and tears. Hope to go down to 85 for DC, all on myself and none on bike. Another interesting fact, my bike is 10,81% of my total weight. If I lost the 5kg would be closer to 11,5%. Think % of total weight is a good measure

My new Black Spade aero with the new 24mm wide super lite 38mm clinchers and RED 22 on weighs 6.30kgs

 

I paid R 39 999

 

which is R 6349 per kg

Here is my partners aero bike with old force on at under 7kgs, with cheap handlebar,stem and uncut bits

 

This one cost him around 32 000 zar

Black spade isp. Full sram red with 60mm black spade wheels. Zipp aluminium bars and stem.

7.7kg. Can cut off a bit with lighter wheels and carbon bars and stem
