MTB: Rocky mountain element 970 @45k 11.7kg's R3846.15 per kg

Road: Silverback space full 105 groupo @11k, 8kg's. R1375 per kg.

 

So the road is much cheaper but mountain is worth every cent!!!

All components bought new, total cost R11.6k, 11.6kg.

 

@ R1 / gram, it turns out that my bike is actually 300 - 500 times cheaper than coke. All those "cycling is as addictive as drugs, but more expensive" posts can now safely be considered null & void.

 

Don't do drugs. Ride a bike.

Built up when dollar rate was cheap and imported almost everything total investment +- R40000 (suggested retail price +- R73000)
