gemmerbal Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 (edited) i was hoping John hopkins when he came along in motogp would make an impact, riding with Shinya Nakano. but those GP kawa's just eated(sic) up all their rubber before the race was even half run, loads of power but poor engine management. funny story, we were staying in the same lodge as Harald Eckl and his team in 2005. we were shooting pool when Ze Germans came over and wanted to play us for money. we promptly kicked their asses. Eckl then turns to us and asks if we have tickets, we said yes, and he returned: i bet its not pitlane tickets? safe to say we beat them and went to watch the GP from pitlane! forgot to add, this was at Phakisa Edited October 25, 2018 by gemmerbal Wannabe 1

Has the R3 donor and just purchased the Banshee motor. Is going to rip. Another guy has built a 350 motored R1, all in weight of 100kg!!! Then he made it a cafe racer Oh and then a guy called Kevin crashed his 350 engined Cagiva Mito at Zwartkops over the weekend. Cooked the brakes, fluid boiled......... That thing rips, over 65hp at the wheel!!!!! Google some of the 421cc builds. Insane, over 100hp at the wheels, easily.Just blueprinting the motor, so removing burrs, manufacturing flaws, etc gains an extra 10hp over stock and relatively easy. The 350 motor is probably the best motor ever built I reckon!!! Know of a guy in Cpt who bought his new in '84. Its on its 3rd crank, last oversize bore and over 230000km on it. Incredible!!!! P.S: Guy here in Jhb with an Apriia RS250 with a 350 motor but Ohlins, Brembo's, carbon EVERYTHING. Think he is an aircraft engineer or something.
