If you break away from B then you will probably catch A / VB / VA / % as all of them start one minute earlier than B lol.

Are you then going to attempt another break-away?

Na the % to A bunch has about 2 - 3min.. don't think i will get that far ahead seeing that they will be pretty quick

Wow, it seems that you guys get annoyed by a LOT of things.. can't people just do the race however they want, with knobblies, with a fat bike...

Any advice as to what colours I should where when I ride, or brand of deodorant, so as not to p!$$ any you guys off.

There is nothing as satisfying catching an oke on his 120k Pinarello 2 groups in front of me on my 2005 Giant...

but don't get confused with a Chinarello's

You missing the point so far, but I think you are trying to make it about something else.

Probably time to introduce MTB batches for road races so guys can all sit in a bunch with 700mm bars, no need for elbows.

If you did that, you would be comparing apples with apples again, and that "I am using inferior machinery" excuse would be lost.

This look will generally ensure maximum respect from all those around you (insider tip: crocs have much stiffer soles than most expensive mtb shoes).

Other than that generally any Tour de France winners jersey (point, yellow or mountain) will always mark you out as a true expert. World championship hoops go down as well esp if accompanied by matching white shorts. National champs jerseys of the UK and USA are also very highly respected as are sleeveless tri tops and waist tie shorts (never go below half thigh).

Deodorant? Well I'd go for something light, not too over powering, may be think of an antiperspirant as you might get a bit sweaty. Also you might want to spray on a little after shave in case you ride next to any ladies (and always carry a little in the back pocket for after the race) don't forget to shave the morning of the race and alway s ride in brand new kit (then it looks the best).

Do you guys know what I CANNOT wait for?

All the posts after the Argus that say "Broke four hours on my 29er with knobblies. Whoohoo!!!"

Thats the most important part to emphasise. Heaven forbid someone might mistake you for a sneaky cheating bastard that put on slicks...
