Funny Carp Posted October 20, 2013 Share That was a brutal lesson in racing into the teeth of the wind. The only worse than riding into that South Easter was the thought of getting dropped by the bunch and having to go it alone. r0adrunner and FanieFiets
JJACK Posted October 20, 2013 Share Hardest race I've done. DC team ride started in M. 3 technicals within first 15km's... On the turn team started to drop like flies. Only 4 of us made it together to the finish. A lot of work still to be done... Cape Dr didn't play nicely today!

Rydogg Posted October 20, 2013 Share Flip, today was the last day I wanted to get dropped by the bunch. But I dropped a chain with about 60kms to go and lost it. Ended up standing at a water point for 10 minutes waiting for the next group. Ended up with 4:50 something...

Mads Posted October 20, 2013 Share Was going to do the ride alone. Luckely one of Wannabee DC teams took me under their protective wing. With their help and me focussing on eating and drinking right l felt strong up to the point where we turned left at 161km. Really battled with that last 2km. . But finished. averagejoe Posted October 20, 2013 Share Was a great day out! Good, tough conditions for DC training. Team Transact/Coronation rode like champions.

Cippo Posted October 20, 2013 Share 4 mechanical breakdowns, luckily we had a backup vehichle. 10 DC members crossed the line, 1 DNS and 1 DNF. All in all a good hard day of training. Time is not important but the teamwork was. Mission accomplished. Denny Menchov

Donovan Le Cok Posted October 20, 2013 Share Wow that was quite horrendous. I stayed with the lead peloton until about the 130km mark. Along with about 7 other guys we carried on working hard to keep the pack in site. Eventually myself and 2 others guys dropped off our small group. I pulled away from the 2 other riders and finished the remaining 5km totally alone. Finished 48th overall with a time of 4:49. mikkelz
