Agree, serious waste of road-space, which is why i DO ride my bike in them. No ways would I ride anywhere else.

Although taxis have taken to them as well - try eastern Commissioner Street, total frigging chaos.

And I sure you all share my spirit of rejoice in the knowledge that the person who initiated this diabolical fiasco is now chairperson of City Power. Viva.

There's only two Caltex garages I go to for Seattle. The one is only a takeaway, the other one is takeaway or sit down.

They used to have a partnership with Exclusive Books but most of those seemed to have gone. I used to be a regular at the Rosebank one.

To be honest, I haven't noticed the brand of service stations that has Seattle but the one that I got to almost daily is Cyrildene, they are totally nice people there and the product never dissapoints.

If you are on the road and need a coffee and you spot a  Burger King, they do a good fresh coffee as well, large white is about R17

I get coffee on a daily basis from the new Seattle in Sandton across the road from Sandton City as I work in a building there.

I also regularly frequent the ones at The Wedge and Chili on Top. All top class staff and superb, consistent quality coffee.

I haven't had to say what I want for a long time now, even if I'm standing in a queue I don't have to say anything and the order is put through for my 'regular'. Love that kind of service. :)

I can vouch for that Seattle, had a cup there a few times and not only was the coffee excellent so too was the service.

Volvo Bedfordview. Coffee is free.

I've managed to do some convincing and management are willing to try a proof of concept.

We'll open our coffee bar to cyclists on a saturday morning (we're open from 8:30), free coffee, cuppocino, latte, esspresso from our machine and depending on popularity there will probably also be some snacks added in.

No obligations from your side other than to please not abuse it. You wont be harassed by salesman (unless you want) and we wont even ask for your details (so no spam).

Bikes are safe within a security controlled dealership so no need to worry about them wondering off.

The idea is we get people seeing Volvos that would not normally see or be interested in them. It doesnt mean you will buy one, but in conversation with someone at a later date you may or may not recommend it to them.

Lets give it a try, maybe it doesnt work for you or maybe it doesnt work for us, it is a proof of concept after all.

Ouzo how's that XC40 going?

We cant get enough stock for the demand. And thats not just in SA, thats world wide.

In all the years I've been industry I've never had interest in a new vehicle like this.

Imagine when the cheaper versions come...

Take away coffee with plastic lids should be stopped. More unnecessary plastic in an already overloaded system. Straws as well, especially along the coast.

Some shops give a huge discount if you take your own cup.

That's awesome news. I have a friend who was at Volvo SA (now in Gothenburg with the Polestar division) and I know he has been so excited for the public to finally see and and drive both the new XC60 and XC40. Good luck!
