Dying to know our start time, hopefully not too early! Waiting for our team captain to let us know. We are so busy adding and swapping out members still, its a bit crazy.  Who all is doing Langebaan tomorrow?

Langebaan, in the rain will be fun...

As with life, if its not on strava it did not happen.

I dont know what mountain they plan on climbing in Ashton?

I really cant remember a hill that big in the ashton area?

If they plotted that directly from a GPS map there is a small section just before ashton from the montague side where there is a small hole (tunnel) so the elevation graph from a GPS map will count the climb there.

Similar problem on chapmans peak. At one point it thinks you have jumped up the entire mountain and it gives you a massive elevation jump for free.

The most accurate readings will come from the likes of Garmin 500/510/800/810/1000 where they have altimeters.

Ill give you guys the climbing from my 800 after the race. Only one week to go oakies!

Btw. A rough guess is that you can expect around 2000 meters.

That reading I posted was from my Garmin Edge 705 from last year, its almost identical from my 2012 one. Mine has an average of 2200m of climbing
